« Golden Cage Upon This Crimson Sky. » 🥀
Mixed media; @wallstreet.support , Fribourg 2020.

« Angels are not men, they’re not women, they’re angels. And that’s all what’s expected of them. The angel is an escape, it’s a protector, a savior. It is a moment of respite, a moment to breathe between two storms. Angels has no gender. Far from the injunctions of our society, far from the norms. A mortuary tale that is both autobiographical and a rather general discourse on the problems that the binarity of genders in our lives and its fatality engenders. A questioning of the real "natural" issues at stake, the notion of life or death, and the limit between uniqueness and marginalization. It is a moment stopped in time, a memory of a much more natural past, witness of a collapsing world, where even angels end up falling. »

My piece is part of the group-show « Giggling Softly, Smiling Big » with some other incredible ones, if you’re interested to see the exhibition, you can contact @wallstreet.support for appointments. 💫
