Urban sketching and managed to persuade my lovey to give it a go too. ❤️

Criss-cross applesauce = mighty fine pen & brush holders.

Also chatted with a darling fam. Dad wanted to know more so he can get his kids some art supplies.

My €.02... buy the good stuff. Don't start them with kids crap. Seriously. It's just paint. And likely costs less than that meal and cocktails. And yes, there is a difference in quality. A huge one.

Your kids are worth it. (And so are you.)

Now go make some shitty art. Bonus points if it's with your favorite humans.

Welp, if I haven't figured out yet how I'm going to do glass while here in France for a year quite yet I can at least support other glassers a wee bit where I can. How cool to meet one practically next door to our house this past weekend too!

Been stuck.

Been allowing myself to be stuck rather than beating myself up about it. So that's new.

In the shop. SocksNStocks, tunes, tea, and a little friendly wave from an unexpected place.

Just a couple goddess gals throwing rainbows from the very essence of themselves.

Irreverent, sure, plus wholly reverent in equal measure.

Photos cannot capture the fabulosity. Or their weight.

Yes, that's an amythyst, and the crystal is about an inch thick.

Felt compelled to make them. Have stuff to make one, maybe two more.

Not sure whether I'll sell them, or make more, or not, or what, but also felt compelled to finally post them.

May your ENTIRE self be fully radiant, well, and wholly beloved respected and adored-- not just the parts that look cute in pics.

A wee little sumpin sumpin for a friendo's epic bday calls for a little playtime with the kiln.

For the fellow stainedglass nerd-curious types:

✅ experimented with lead-free solder for the first time since it's a food-adjacent item
✅ two layers of glass
✅ vitreous paint (ground glass in a binding medium) becomes part of the glass itself once fired in kiln
✅ painted image in reverse so it can be on the inside between the two panes (weeeeeird to do)
✅ outline first, dry paint, scratch in details and cleanup, then first firing in kiln
✅ add color, dry, scratch in details and cleanup, final firing
✅ assembly: foil, lead-free solder, patina, polish, the usual
✅ take some pics, sign it, & the best part: GIFT IT

Well, maybe the mostest bestest part will be knowing friendo will have a grin along with his cocktails.
