I break glass. I put it back together. I bend, tear, & melt metals & stuff. Plus I sketch to help me remember that minute. FT life, PT glass. ❤️✌️

Gave our street-facing bathroom window an upgrade. 💥 A little privacy can be beautiful.

I'll tell you all about it, AND the kickass blade when we're back.

For now, heading out on a quick kickass-broads-only overnight adventure with the wee newly-7-year-old intern. 💕

If you live in Noda or pass through with any frequency, you had a chance to see @puckmcgruff’s Watering Hole mural go up at @bargarita_noda. Matt Moore started the mural at the end of August and recently wrapped it up. I loved photographing different stages of development (scroll to the end to see a glimpse of the base layer). Others enjoyed it in different ways:

-@reitz_stuff incorporated the mural into hundreds of miles of running. He posted photo glimpses of the progress along with guesses of what images might be coming (if you love running and murals, follow him and join on some runs).
-others camped out on the brick bench across the street. A couple of locals told me that they would come and sit for hours. It brought them so much joy to see the action up close.
-one very special 6 year old girl left her personal stamp on the mural. Remy Kate first came by in August (with @glassandbits) to watch and introduce herself. Next she came by with a homemade card. One day when she arrived, @puckmcgruff had painted “Remy Kate Rules” onto the wall for her to find. What a surprise and an absolute gift! The grand finale came when he showed her the spot he saved on the wall for her to paint. 😭 I’m hoping that years from now we can all read Remy Kate’s version of the experience on @humansofny. 💛

Matt shared that this mural (that has people humming ‘The Bare Necessities’) is meant to be “a reminder that ultimately we are all the same thing. No matter where we’re from or what we look like…if we have spots or stripes…that collectively we are all one thing. We all share the same basic needs. When times are tough and resources are limited, if we can’t learn to work together and be cool with one another, then the system will collapse.”

Come see it for yourself at 3221 N Davidson St #nodamurals @bargarita_noda @nodaclt 🐼

I spy with my little eye.... 😍😍

These two. No words.

You can tell a lot about someone by how they treat your kiddo when they think you're not watching.

That might be "just paint", but it's left a permanent mark on my wee girl, and I thank you for it. (I'm lookin at you, @puckmcgruff ! ☺️🙏✌️)
