Join me and lots of other merchants this Sunday 3-7p for Archie’s Fall Market! I’ll have lots of smaller originals and prints available. I don’t wanna be that guy, but you could get a jump on your holiday shopping. Even if it’s for yourself. Prices you won’t find on my website! Bonus points for grabbing an ice cold Hamm’s beer at Archie’s. taken in Archie's Iowa Rockwell Tavern by @glengauthier

Join me and my wife Stacy this Saturday for Block Club’s third annual Block Party at Half Acre Beer! I’ll be selling smaller originals as well as fine art prints. Stacy will be selling her Eva Marie’s bread pudding with white chocolate sauce from an old recipe. Walk away with original art and an extremely happy sweet tooth. And it looks like the weather is going to be perfect! taken in Half Acre Balmoral by @glengauthier

I'm excited to showcase my newest series of works, Compartmentalized. Each piece is 18x24” mixed media collage on canvas panel, framed. I wanted to create a series that both works together as either sets of two pieces to 6, but also let each piece speak for itself. Some of the materials used in the series include WWII correspondence between a G.I. and his gal, insurance documents from my late aunt’s insurance agency, an old player piano paper roll with song lyrics, thin tissue that went between images in an antique post card booklet from Paris, and a poem for a fallen comrade, among other ephemera. I am a hoarder in the best sense of the word. This series was birthed from the idea of burying our intense or negative feelings deep inside us as we try to maintain a calm exterior. I’ve done this for most of my life, but after almost 40 years of marriage, my wife has systematically broken through my hard candy shell to my softer interior. I suspect there are others out there with similar stories. You can see this series on my site, in both the Medium Works and Series sections. Framed with @kolekin_official frames. Compartmentalized I, a mixed media collage canvas panel. A large area of warm gray paint, old dictionary pages and a small area of collaged elements from old books and magazines. by @glengauthier

My newest piece, Narrative Curiosities, collage on printer’s letterpress tray. It’s semi-autobiographical, with images I took in photography class in the 80’s, among other things. But like all of my work, you can interpret your own stories from it. Check out my latest IG story to see a timelapse of its creation. by @glengauthier
