On Saturday, August 30, 2025, Barbara Sylvan (nee Smith, formerly Palmer), the best Mom/grandmother/aunt to ever do it, went to be with her Lord and Saviour.

While we’re all still processing this loss, we had sensed that her time was near, as dementia had robbed her of her speech, mobility, and ability to eat.

We take some solace in knowing that she is with her Lord and Saviour in Eternity, but there is a new mom-shaped void in our lives and hearts. We are forever grateful to all who have been praying for her, who have reached out to us, and have supported the family during this challenging time.

I can’t stress this enough: hug your loved ones and make sure they know how much they are loved, our time here is incredibly finite. 🙏🏾💙🕊️ by @glengroveg

Happy Heavenly Birthday Mom. As happy as I am that you are no longer suffering as you celebrate in Heaven, I miss you so, so much. We all do. by @glengroveg

Come November it’s gonna be nothing but “Take me back” reposts, what a trip, and what an incredible group of people.

Congratulations, and thank you @amanda_rissanen and @drewpaloops for the best experience ever🙏🏾💙 taken in Royal Westmoreland, Barbados by @glengroveg
