Spaces fill with a kind of soothing electric vibration. Our senses, restored, never to be the same, whisper to us. They existed. They existed. We can be. Be and be better. For they existed.” - Maya Angelou

So grateful to have been a small part of @jamilaw’s incredible documentary, AILEY. While I did train for the summer in @theaileyschoolofficial and dance with the @alvinailey company for a 23 years, this film gave me such a deeper insight, understanding and empathy for the brilliant and enigmatic man that was Alvin Ailey.

If you haven’t had a chance to see this breathtaking film, please check it out… *i do not own the rights to this material* *streaming everywhere*

Full circle mommet: I recall the first moment I learned to wash dishes. However, to see the joy Ellington displays while “playing” in the sink “washing dishes” is a delight! This picture speaks more than a thousand words. 🤎

Two little squirrels, climbing a tree. Two little rabbits, looking at me. Two little frogs, jumping up high.
Two little birds, learning to fly!

One little boy, just turned two! I love you, son! Thank you for blessing my life with love, joy, and curiosity!
