The glass fashion show at the Corning Museum of Glass was TODAY! I am BLOWN AWAY by the talent of everyone who participated - I wish I had taken more photos! This was a dream come true for me - two years in the making! I'm excited to share more when I'm home in Canada tomorrow. Thanks for the amazing support for my stained glass head dress/mohawk ✌🏻❤️! I'm so excited to create more fashion pieces and explore the potential of what's possible!

We all start somewhere. I had to do this again because I found way better examples of how... I had a LOT of room for improvement! 2013 was when I really tried to stretch my creative muscles and develop something new... but not everything was beautiful. Sorry for the awful pictures, it's also all about learning. Don't give up before you get there (where ever "there" is- it's up to you!).

Stained glass I used to do vs. what I do now: 2026 Edition. 🏋🏻‍♀️⭐🌿

Skill is measured by growth, not time. Through the many challenges and increasing impostor syndrome, I keep pushing and innovating. I see it in you too, the glass community (and art community as a whole) has had so many amazing glow-ups lately and I love it! What comes next?

It’s my birthday!
What a strange thing it is to have a birthday as an adult. I’m always so incredibly grateful for everyone who remembers to send wishes, while also feeling a little guilty knowing I don’t always remember everyone else’s birthdays. I’m getting better, though.

The truth is, I think of so many of you all the time. There are so many people who come in and out of our lives and leave an amazing impact on who we are and who we become. I think about this often with my kids - how much the people we meet shape us.

I’ve come so far this year, achieving both big dreams and little things that felt really big, and so many of you have been part of that.

Thank you for being my people. For remembering, or not remembering. For thinking of me, showing up, and helping me through the highs and the lows. For helping me remember that I'm my own personal glass mother nature warrior. I feel solidly rooted now.

I see you, and I hope you know I’m here for you, too.

Another quick sneak peek at my glass fashion piece for @laura44donefer 's fashion show at the sold out @glassartsociety conference at @corningmuseum . What an incredible place and week! I've been so warmed to receive this incredible feedback from everyone. I can't wait to see what everyone has created.. there are some INCREDIBLE pieces being shown...!! The show isn't open to the public and tickets are sold out BUT there's a documentary being made and we'll post lots of updates afterwards!

I've met so many amazing people this week. So grateful ❤️❤️

PS - the head piece doesn't weigh 35 pounds.. but I will tell you how much it DOES weigh after the show if you follow along 😘😘 by @glimpseglass

I am tired (and look it!) but I am so grateful. I'm finishing up the final touches on a HEAD TO TOE stained GLASS outfit! In just a few days, I'll head to New York to watch my passion for glass fashion bloom on stage among other amazing artists. This head piece is just a HINT of what is to come for Laura Donefer's Glass Fashion Show at the @corningmuseum during the GAS and SGAA conference. I cannot believe this is actually here and happening - it's been two years in the making!

I'm not counting my chickens yet, I have a long journey ahead.. but I am already so grateful to so many people who have helped along the way. Huge thanks to Laura Donefer for her faith and encouragement and to @oceansideglass for the beautiful glass to make this possible. I've also had assistance with sewing from @riyoko_ca and much foiling/grinding assistance from my kids and besties.

There are hundreds and hundreds of pieces of glass. I can't wait to show you the whole thing!!

Are you coming to @corningmuseum?? I can't wait to meet so many new people and see some of my best friends again. by @glimpseglass

The details are where art comes alive, right? 🔥 #leadfree #stainedglass

Guys… I’ve been so sick with migraines these past few months (year?), and honestly, this is one of the hardest parts of being self-employed. When I have to stop, the art does too.

I’ve also been feeling really anxious about showing up online, which feels wild to even say. I’ve always loved sharing with you, being on camera, making reels, and bringing you into this world with me. Right now I just feel flattened. But I want that version of me back, too. I keep recording and then not sharing...

If you are someone who sends love to people when they’re having a hard time, you are so welcome here. I appreciate you more than you know.

If you prefer to cheer against me, this probably isn’t the place for you.

What is this exactly? Well, once upon a time (2024) I made this unique glass shrug (I don't know what to call it!). I never did get great photos of it and hardly anyone has seen it, as it was destined for other stages, but I wanted to step back in time and show you this as I prepare for the glass fashion show in New York this June ❤️🤞🏻

The right way? There's only your way (but make sure it's safe). I tell all of my students: "if you're not having fun, you're not doing it right." Allow yourself to experiment, learn, make mistakes and enjoy! You shouldn't take yourself too seriously :).
