Found my happy place learning to weave khoos with a lovely lady at Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival. The festival is more than a place to shop for books, it’s a place where stories are shared. Stories through Emirati craftswomen, through a vibrant children’s book illustration exhibition, an interactive Sherlock Holmes Exhibition, and many many creative worshops for little ones

Using food as a medium had been one of the most inspiring and generative explorations I’ve done in a long time! Made a « hummus-scape » to match my paintings of the Hajar mountains! Blending beetroot, black tahini and roasted pepper flavors, I used icing splatulas together to create the same textures as my artwork, inviting guests at @1604.artspace to further contribute to the pattern with each bite
