Delighted to share our upcoming exhibition!

Porous Boundaries: The Same Rock Holds Different Memories

A two-person exhibition with @natalyakonforti

We've each approached stone as a way of thinking about time and memory, from our own perspectives.

If you're in Seoul, I hope you'll stop by.

365 days with @studiothirteen_dxb
.
“For all the places life chose to take me,
I’m grateful it led me right to you, made me see.
As someone who dreams in colours so bright,
I spent years in greys, fading soft into night.

I waited for moments, a space and a place,
To get lost in the chaos, in texture and grace.
With patterns that echo a piece of my soul,
Each shade telling stories that once felt untold.

And when His doors opened, steady and wide,
He silenced the storms I once held inside.
From A3 sheets to walls stretched afar,
He paved out a path like it’s written in stars.

Like this was the only way it could be,
A canvas unfolding the truest of me.

And here in this space, I’ve found something rare,
A family of misfits, all vibrant and fair.
So willing, so giving, with hearts open wide,
Standing together, whatever betide.

In laughter, in chaos, in moments unsure,
We hold one another, of this I am sure.
A blessing in people, in bonds strong and true,
This place feels like home—because of you.”

Create for Change by @artfuldxb, the amazing @samarstradi and @angelaarnaout with the magic ❤️🧿

In times where the world can feel heavy, spaces like this remind us why community matters…

@samarstradi and @angelaarnaout brought people together under one roof through creativity, conversation, and genuine human connection. There was joy, laughter, art, and a reminder that good energy still exists…

And honestly… we need more of that these days…

We have a new Craft Jam meetup on the books for Monday May 11th, 5-8pm at @rooted_dxb Warehouse 34, Alserkal Avenue!

If you haven’t joined us in person yet, Craft Jams are a hybrid of co-working and networking sessions for creatives of all sorts—a breeding ground for ideas, inspiration, and connection.
Open to all, simply bring supplies for your latest project and join us around the communal table. Whether it’s knitting, painting, or graphic design, all mediums (including computers!) are welcome. Our community supports collaboration and opportunity—many projects and exhibitions have started around this table.

This session features special guest @makeworks.uae offering insight into how to move from idea to production. Make Works UAE connects creatives with vetted local manufacturers, fabricators, and suppliers, helping demystify the making process.

Alongside the Co-working session Make Works UAE will host complimentary 15-minute one-on-one consultations. These private sessions offer tailored advice on your project—whether sourcing materials, refining a process, or finding the right production partner. Come with an idea, leave with a plan.

Consultations can be booked here:
https://tashkeel.org/workshops/blank-space-make-works-uae-advice-sessions
Spaces are limited.

Make Works UAE is an initiative of Tashkeel, supported by Dubai Culture.

Walking through layers of land and time.
Mountains in the distance,
mountains on the table —
@mozaalmatrooshii ’s concept foods echoing the terrain.
Thank you @ballad.table for holding this space.
