Don’t just commit. Take action.

Take a look at the TBS team’s journey with SoilVera, from Lampung to New York. 🌍

SoilVera brought together Johannes Sahala (Corporate Finance), Willy Manik (Public Affairs & Corporate Communications), Erlang Alparizi (Business Development), Faesa Syahputri (Corporate Secretary), and Rafael Pahlevi (Corporate Strategy) from across TBS.

As one of the Outstanding SDG Innovators 2026 representing Indonesia, the team took SoilVera to New York for a week of conversations, connections, and new perspectives on sustainability.

What started as a challenge around our operations became an opportunity to learn beyond our own context and bring those perspectives back to TBS.

Thank you to the United Nations Global Compact, @globalcompact.id, @indonesiainnewyork, and everyone who made these conversations possible.

On 30 September, BINUS University, in collaboration with the UN Global Compact Network Indonesia (IGCN), held the “Gender Equality as a Business Advantage” workshop, bringing together 15+ business participants to explore how gender equality and women’s empowerment can contribute to stronger, more inclusive, and sustainable businesses.

Through practical discussions across Leadership, Workplace, Marketplace, and Community, participants explored how businesses can move beyond women’s participation toward meaningful opportunities for women to lead, grow, and contribute to business development. The workshop also introduced practical approaches to integrating gender equality into business policies and practices using the Women’s Empowerment Principles and WEPs GAT Analysis Tool, from succession planning and fair recruitment and promotion to inclusive value chains and community engagement.
