Global March is a worldwide movement committed to eradicating root causes of child labour.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🔊Yesterday, Global March Against Child Labour brought its Parliamentarians for Child Labour-Free Trade (PCLT) initiative to the Fair Trade Working Group in the @europeanparliament, hosted by MEP Catarina Vieira and MEP Bernd Lange.

⚠️As the EU reshapes its supply chain and due diligence rules, our message was simple: legislation made in Brussels must be matched by real implementation and accountability in producer countries. From cocoa and coffee to other high-risk commodities, children are still paying the price of our global supply chains. Trade policy should protect them and the communities behind the products Europe consumes.

💪PCLT is about building stronger cooperation between European and African parliamentarians, so that child labour-free trade is a shared commitment across regions.

➡️We are deeply grateful to MEP Saskia Bricmont, MEP Catarina Vieira, MEP Bernd Lange, Olivier Derruine and Eric Sihvola for giving us this opportunity and for their engagement and continued contribution to the issue of child labour. by @globalmarch

Hello Netherlands! 🇳🇱
We are young people from Uganda 🇺🇬 we will show your our community, our lives, we will share our stories of the work we did as children. Many of the things people buy pass through hands like ours, we want you to see that. But, we survived, some of us went back to school, some of us started our own businesses, and we all want that the children after us don’t have to do what we did. No more. Help us change that! #wakeup #fightchildlabor #connectforglobalchange #wakeupinvestigation

⚠️⚠️What happens when a climate shock hits a community?

Early Warning Systems can help communities identify risks early and act before they become crises.

‼️But climate risks can go beyond the environment. When livelihoods, income and food security are affected, families may face difficult choices and children can become more vulnerable to child labour.

🔔Early action can help reduce these pressures, supporting families to cope without relying on child labour as a coping strategy.

➡️Understanding EWS is the first step. Stay tuned to see examples of how it reduces the risk of child labour! by @globalmarch
