POSTS STORIES REELS

This is my latest piece, “Queen Hattie Monarch.” I finished it a month ago. It took SO much more time than her previous 2 sisters. I made it for the @the.susannahkelly.art.award and it will be on display at @antlerpdx from September 26th through October 20th. I’m so excited for this opportunity. Thanks as always to @availablelight1 for the beautiful photos. Hope you like it. #art #artist #artwork #instaart #artistoninstagram #instagramartist #artistofinstagram #instaartist #instagramart #artstudio #contemporaryart #handmade #resin #resinart #sculpture #sculptureart #sculptureartist #sculpturestudio #figurativesculpture #sculptureoftheday #instasculpture #claysculpture #claystudio #clayartist #clayart #portraits #model #butterfly #monarch by @glorifiedchimp

These pieces are based on the beautiful @hattiewatson . She was gracious enough to lend me her likeness. She is not only an accomplished model, but also a brilliant photographer. I chose her as my subject for her creative acumen and admirable sense of independence. The crown that she wears is decorated with ornaments inspired by her personal tattoos.
I’m hoping to eventually carry on this series of work by representing more brilliant and equally unique women that inspire.

Last night I had my buddy take some professional shots of these two newest pieces. He knocked it out of the park. Thanks again Eric. @availablelight1 #art #artist #artwork #instaart #artistoninstagram #instagramartist #artistofig #artistofinstagram #instaartist #instagramart #artstudio #contemporaryart #handmade #resin #resinart #process #progress #wip #workbench #sculpture #sculptureart #sculptureartist #sculpturestudio #figurativesculpture #sculptureoftheday #instasculpture #claysculpture #claystudio #clayartist #clayart by @glorifiedchimp

I’m finally done with the first head. Over a year and a half of nights after work, 460 hours to sculpt, 95 hours to mold and cast all of the 2 dozen parts, 97 hours to sand, paint, plug in hairs, and assemble… it’s finally finished. It’s displayed in my entryway for @medicinicole and I to appreciate with my other eye sculpts. I took a break this last week or two to air out a bit. But now it’s time to get back on the horse and finish another copy. Hit me up if you or any one you know is interested in purchasing this piece. #artstudio #contemporaryart #handmade #instaart #instaartist #resin #resinart #mold #moldmaking #process #progress #wip #workbench #sculpture #sculptureart #sculptureartist #sculpturestudio #figurativesculpture #sculptureoftheday #instasculpture

This is my submission for the current coastline show called FEED ME.
I found an old framed Kincade print by the dumpster. Took the canvas out. Took a photo, shrunk it down, and reprinted it at 16x12 per the show’s guidelines. Chopped the frame and reassembled it. Sculpted and painted the banana. And added duct tape. I’ll post a process video sometime soon. Enjoy! #thomaskinkade #mauriziocattelan #lowhangingfruit #transgressiveart #banana by @glorifiedchimp

This piece has slowly been falling apart for about 22 years. I never did anything with it except storing it. It would take a bunch of time and energy to repair. And it’s been taking up valuable storage space for all that time. Sometimes you just have to let go. #pittcomics #smash #artstudio #hulk #sculpture by @glorifiedchimp

*(not my art)* I was happy to be a part of the installation for this show. I’ve known Jeff for a couple decades now. It’s been a pleasure to work with him. And it’s been a pleasure to see this show come to fruition. Also, his natural creativity runs in the family. Becca’s work is truly wonderful and what she has done with denim is fantastic. The show runs until April 25th. Go check it out @occcart @bunchafrisch @becca.licha by @glorifiedchimp

“Macaw.1” - 9”x12” - Acrylic ink on panel. Another one done. Spent a couple weeks on this little guy. So glad I’m getting back into painting. Had to take a nearly year long hiatus from art to start my install business. I’m going to try to get prints of this made as well as my Mandrills before Christmas. Hope you like it. #art #artist #artwork #instaart #artistoninstagram #instagramartist #artistofig #artistofinstagram #instaartist #instagramart #artstudio #contemporaryart #handmade #process #progress #wip #workbench #paintings #painting #acylicpainting #airbrush #stencil #artiststudio #painter #illustration #portrait #animal #monkey #macaw #parrot by @glorifiedchimp

Don’t miss @glorifiedchimp work at our closing weekend of SEE WHAT YOU CAN FIND! Vol. 2

Brent Walker is an Orange County based sculptor. He has been making a career in the commissioned art world for nearly two decades. His interest in art began as soon as he could hold a pencil. With an emphasis on the entertainment arts, he graduated with Honors and with a BFA in Illustration at Art Center College of Design, he pursued sculpting and immediately developed a passion. Since then, projects have included fantastic toy maquettes, privately commissioned drawings and sculptures, as well as personal paintings and works. His public works have made their way to restaurants, hotels, casinos, and luxury resorts all around the world, most notably, bronze gorillas and a piece depicting mice in a game of tug of war displayed at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas and also a 6’ tall bronze peacock at the Wynn in Macau. by @glorifiedchimp
