One of the only good things January 2026 has brought so far. I give you; Margaret Chutney Corley!!!
She’s part (I think) Corgi, Part Chiweenie 100% uncoordinated sass. Found living in a little den of sticks in a field of Oxnard, Margie has had a hard life up until this point. So I take showering her with love and snuggles VERY seriously. Only good times ahead my sweet weasel!

Today I had to say farewell to my best friend of 15 years. It was without a doubt, the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. But it went perfectly. We said goodbye at home, in his bed by the kitchen backdoor. His favorite place to be. He left with a gentle breeze. The smell of wildflowers from the neighborhood, birds chirping in the yard. And his papa telling him how much he is loved. It was absolute peace.
I got Dylan when he was a 9 week old fuzzy potato. He was all ears and bouncing golden fluff. He was always gentle. Never really the crazy puppy phase. Just a little old man from the get go. But boy oh boy, that little old man was so full of love and infectious joy. Just seeing his golden lil curly cues created smiles everywhere he went. And he smiled back! He loved people. And he made it known by wiggling his nubby lil tail anytime someone just looked at him.
He loved the park, tennis balls, chasing birds at the beach and snacks.
I like to think he loved me most of all. He was my shadow, my confidant, my road trip buddy and dance partner. He was my dog.
And I’m so lucky and grateful for that. by @gnarbones
