This was always the plan... you just beat me to the question...

Almost a year ago, I sat across from @alex_werner10 at his parents dining room table and decided I wanted to ask him to marry me. I booked a venue and set a plan in motion. In March on our 2 year anniversary he asked me to marry him and of course I said yes. I said yes with every intention of still proposing to him, because the way this man made me feel like the first and only choice for him that day he got down on his knee in the wet sand warrants a grand gesture. I wanted him to feel as chosen and desired as he makes me feel every day.

Alex loves brain teasers and puzzles, so I made a little scavenger hunt taking him across our home town taking him to @tinpantheater where I had our friends waiting in the wings for a secret post proposal Mario Kart tournament on deck. He loved it all and loves me and said, "OF COURSE I'LL MARRY YOU!"

A HUGE THANK YOU to all our friends and family who joined from near and far to make this happen. We love you!

Overwhelmed with all the love last month 🖤 Being back in my home state and getting to see so many of you filled my heart in the best way.

Thank you to my family & friends for making time and space for me. Every visit, every conversation reminded me how much we’re all growing, evolving, and pushing forward in our own ways.

Koka’s Wedding | 10.04.2025
Flew home for a few days, and it was so wonderful getting to see everyone again — all my family and friends 🖤 It reminded me how special it is to be surrounded by the people who’ve been part of so many chapters of my life.

What a beautiful wedding and such a joy to witness this unforgettable day for our good friend, Koka. Everything was perfect — from the love in the air to the laughter, the dancing, and all the familiar faces.

I have a teenager. Every year is more and more interesting with this one. My yoda boy. Normally I make a post on May 4th every year for him but life has been especially hard lately. This last year we lost our best friend, Melissa, and our godmother, Lauren. But Yoda also gained a tiny, crunchy little brother named Bumi!
It’s been truly surreal and incredible to see how much Yoda has changed in the last year. He’s officially a very old man and while it makes my heart sad, I can’t help but reminisce on how much we’ve done together. Like our most recent and Yoda’s last big backpacking trip with the squad.
Yoda loves sleeping, figuring out the layout of our house since going completely blind, his absolute favorite guy, Cameron, and his tiny humans, Hannah and Gordon.
Really leaning into and accepting the fact that we don’t have much time left together. So here’s to another wonderful year of shenanigans. I love you so much wiener. Happy belated birthday to my little black rain cloud.

Another year. Another Yoda post. Me and Yoda have been companions for six years now. It feels really special because I have officially had Yoda longer than his previous owners combined, and for half of his life. It’s been a whirlwind of excitement, frustration, adventure, and stress, but most of all it’s been six years of the deepest, truest love I’ve ever known. As I build this post with happy tears in my eyes and gratitude in my heart, I wanted to highlight some of the people that have helped and continue to help me be the best dog mom possible. I don’t have pictures of everyone that is deeply involved in Yoda’s life but here are a few from the past year of our life together (and of course Yoda’s new girlfriend, Bailey). Being Yoda’s mom has its challenges. Most of you already know that he was adopted by me when he was 6! Adopting him came with a grip of its own hurdles and challenges that I still struggle with today. However, having people in my life that help me give yoda the best life possible makes it all doable and worth it. So if you’re still reading this, please help me say 🌈THANK YOU🌈 to all of these Yoda lovers and help me wish Yoda a very very very special happy birthday!!
