Introducing: Jobs for our Future🧑‍🌾🧑‍🔧👨‍🔧

No jobs, no homes, no future.
That’s what it feels like growing up in Britain right now.

A UK Gov report this year revealed almost 1 in 8 young people are not in education, training, or employment right now.

We’re in a youth unemployment crisis, a climate crisis, and we’re all scared for the future.

We also have a very obvious solution. They can be tackled together.

We’re demanding that the government deliver solutions to both these issues by investing in a nationwide programme of good climate jobs, so every young person who wants one, can have one.

It will benefit us as workers, our communities, economy, and environment.

The government could announce their decision on Rosebank and Jackdaw any day now - to stand with climate science, or against it.

Time to reject new oil and gas now, right?🧐

Zack Polanski made strong moves in this by-election, pushing Labour down to their smallest majority ever since the seat was created.

He ran on a campaign that didn’t falsely pit the cost of living crisis and the climate crisis against eachother.

We can tackle both. We can have lower bills, clean energy, good jobs, and improved lives.

So this should be a wake up call. Labour have delayed their decision on Jackdaw and Rosebank, but the decision will be coming any day now.

Spain and France are seeing some of their largest protests and it’s for the same things we’re all fighting for and we all deserve.

A new oil field would be a disaster for our climate. It won't make us safer, and it won't bring down bills. ⠀
⠀
But Andy Burnham’s government has been considering giving the green light to new drilling for months.⠀
⠀
And now we know why it's taken so long: they've delayed the decision until after this Thursday's by-election in Holborn and St Pancras - because they know approving this climate-wrecking project could cost them the seat.⠀
⠀
There are still a couple of days to get out the vote for a candidate who'll fight new oil fields. But no matter who wins, we won’t let Labour get away with burning our future. by @gndrising

BREAKING: this morning we were part of a coalition of campaigners demanding that Andy Burnham stand on the right side of history and say NO to new oil and gas.

Any day now the UK government will decide the fate of the oil and gas fields: Rosebank and Jackdaw.

What side will they be on - oily devils 😈 or climate angels 😇 and what future will they hand us - safety 🛟 or climate hell 💀?

We know the only option for a liveable future for all of us is to say no!

And why should we #StopRosebank ?

🌹 We pay, Equinor profits – 84% of Rosebank’s development is funded by us.

🌹 No impact on energy bills – Its oil is sold on the global market.

🌹 No future for workers – UK oil & gas jobs down 50% in a decade, while renewables grow.

🌹 A climate disaster – 500M barrels burned = UK fails its climate targets.
