As we enter the fall season, we look back at an amazing summer with our Local 79 Brigades. The annual Brigade Outing was held in McCarran Park in Williamsburg Brooklyn in late August. The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island Brigades all battled it out with an afternoon of competitive games. In the end, the Brooklyn Brigade was named winner for the second year in a row after winning the tug of war battle! Congrats and thank you to Brooklyn and all the Brigades for your tireless commitment to Local 79. ✊ by @gnylecet

We honor the 25th anniversary of September 11th by remembering the members we lost as well as all those who bravely helped in the aftermath. This video was created for the 10th anniversary of the attacks and serves as an oral history of the brave men and women from the Mason Tenders’ in NYC. Our endless thanks for their dedication and service.

More than 1,500 members and their families joined us in Pomona for our Family Picnic as we celebrated 30 years of Local 78.

It was great to see so many families together enjoying the food, music, dancing, activities and fireworks. But most importantly, it was a day to spend time together and celebrate the people who have made Local 78 what it is today.

Thank you to all our members and families who came out and made this 30th anniversary celebration so special. We truly appreciate your support and solidarity.

30 years strong and still rising.

🗣️"Our communities do so much for us, we want to just give back and help as much as we can and continue to build those relationships."

🎒Through our Backpack Drive, we're proud to donate 600 backpacks to students and communities that need them. Because #Laborers don't just build infrastructure — we build community, too.

💪We're proud to give back, strengthen the communities we call home, and help students start the school year with the tools they need to succeed. by @gnylecet
