Proud to have our first joint brigade event between Local 66’s Nassau Brigade and our brothers and sisters from Local 79!

Members are knocking doors for @kimkeiserman for State Assembly and @rorylancmanforny for State Senate, the type of pro-labor candidates we need in Albany!

A tremendous thank you to all the members that came out today and for the candidates for letting us advocate on their behalf.

As we enter the fall season, we look back at an amazing summer with our Local 79 Brigades. The annual Brigade Outing was held in McCarran Park in Williamsburg Brooklyn in late August. The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island Brigades all battled it out with an afternoon of competitive games. In the end, the Brooklyn Brigade was named winner for the second year in a row after winning the tug of war battle! Congrats and thank you to Brooklyn and all the Brigades for your tireless commitment to Local 79. ✊

We honor the 25th anniversary of September 11th by remembering the members we lost as well as all those who bravely helped in the aftermath. This video was created for the 10th anniversary of the attacks and serves as an oral history of the brave men and women from the Mason Tenders’ in NYC. Our endless thanks for their dedication and service.
