Today's run started with good intentions.

It even started as a run, then jog, then slow jog and finally crawled for 80 Minutes!!!

I felt like I'm coming down with something? So I crawled back up the hill to my little abode. 💖 Took the longest shower ever!!! Cold Shower at that, felt like I overheated?

I feel better now. I usually wave at my neighbors or stop to chat with I finished. My sincere apologies and humble wish that you forgive me. 🙏🏾 It took all I had to get back up the hill.

Just posting as reminder, sometimes we all struggle, are disappointed with results. But that the beauty in running. No one expects perfection. All you can do is the best that you can. Sometimes that best is just lacing em' up and finishing what you started. The world may not know, but I sure do!!! 💪🏾

I did 60 Minutes this morning with my Weighted Vest. I stopped to conversate with my neighbors. When they asked about my upcoming races. I realized that I hadn't booked my flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico yet.

Right in the middle of our conversation I was flipping through my rolo-dex in my head. Nope, Luckily for me those are frequent flyer flights, so I had my flight reservations made by the time I made my way back to the house.

I usually book my flight around the same time I book my Hotel and after I register for a particular race. This was back in January, so I'm thinking I was recovering. A lot of sleep and medication during that time.

But it's funny how something can click in your mind if you kinda forget something or your supposed to do a thing?

I'm Thankful that I remembered, thats for sure. lol

It felt so good, I did Tempo Runs also today. I think I'm about as rested and heal as I'm going to get. Now back to the Lab, to work on some "THANGS"!!! 💪🏾

Good Morning My Peeps 👋🏾

Army 10 Miler is in the books, my 14th Race of the year.

My 9th 10 Mile Race, so the PNC 10 Miler in a couple of weeks will be my official 10th 10 Miler!!!

See how so much thought goes into my annual schedule? Next year, 2027 Race Schedule has the same process for my pending scheduled races. I normally have it 90% completed by December. Then I add wildcards that come up.

Looks like they finished the Bar & Lounge in Terminal 2 since the last time I was in the Airport in May.

Army 10 Miler 🌨🌧☔️

What did one of my Army Brothers say "it don't rain in the Army, it Rains on the Army!"

Well the Army introduced itself today, for sure!!! It was non-stop and Steady all throughout the race.

Eliud Kipchoge won the Melbourne Marathon, 2:09:10.

This absolutely made my day!!! So inspirational. I think he's the greatest Marathoner of All-Time. To qoute him "no limits". 41 years old.

I met this nice Lady while walking the Mount Vernon Trail. When I saw her I asked "Excuse me Miss, but are you from Atlanta?"

With a surprised look she replied "How did you know I was from Atlanta?"

I laughed out loud!!! I said "Well, the Race Attire was a slight give away." Which doesn't necessarily say she's from Atlanta, because folks come from all over to run the Race. But still it would be a safe bet to say Atlanta. Ha Ha Ha.

It was good chatting with Mrs Natalie Davis. She's also running the Army 10 Miler.

This will be my first time running it. I didn't realize how popular it is. A lot of Army Veterans run it. Although I heard of the Army 10 Miler before. I decided to run it this year after I ran the Coast Guard Marathon back in April. I found out about the Armed Forces Series Challenge.

Since I'm a Air Force Veteran and this is our Nations 250th Anniversary. I decided to run the Series Challenge. I've already completed the Marine Corps Marathon 2025 and Coast Guard Marathon 2026. I ran the Air Force Marathon back in 2019, but unfortunately it doesn't count. The races after the series was started in 2024 Count.

The others I need are;
Navy 10 Miler
Space Force T-Minus 10 Miler
and of course do the AF Marathon again.

Which in a way is kinda cool. Completing the series with the Air Force Marathon is only fitting now that I think about it.

Army 10 Miler Expo at the St James. Picked up my Bibb. Oh and the St James is like a Fitness Center like no other. It has Basketball Courts, Hockey Courts, In-Door Football Field, Rock Climbing etc.., It also has your regular Treadmills and Weights, plus Private Academy for young adults. It has restaurants and bars with happy hour. This place is so huge!!!

Okay, back to my weekend race. Really impressed with how thorough everything is. Took the shuttle from my Hotel to the Expo, it runs every 30 minutes for the return also.

I'm so glad I went early, with over 30,000 runners, it's going to get pretty busy.

I met Jay and Gina (I hope I remembered their names right?). They're originally from Birmingham, AL. They're in the Army, stationed in the area. Running the Army 10 Miler for the first time. Really enjoyed meeting them and conversating while waiting in line.

Met Carlo, he's from the area. We had an Awesome Conversation while leaving the Expo. He showed me a before picture of how much he weighed. I could tell how proud his wife was of his running journey for sure.

Also met Norm, he ran the Original Athens Marathon a few years ago with Apostle Greek Tours. We both shared our experience with the Awesome Marathon and Tour of Greece. Special Memories, the food, the people, the Wine and the History. Along with the breathtaking scenery. Paul Sampras and Apostle Greek Tours, you'll have a wonderful experience of a lifetime.

Now to hydrate a little and grab a bite to eat. It's still forecast to rain during the race. But it's going to be such a wonderful experience. taken in The St. James Performance Academy by @go.troy.go
