Fall dinner parties don’t have to be limited to Friendsgiving/Thanksgiving 🍂

See below for what we made:

Dinner at @casateresadc!
This might make the top of our list for Spanish restaurants in the DMV so far. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. See below for what we ordered:
- Pan con tomate
- Escalivada catalana
- Croquetas con jamón ibérico

Delicious dinners we’ve been making lately ➡️➡️

Miso ginger pork donburi. Recipe by @kyriethefoodie

Stewy green bean and bacon pasta. Recipe by @haileecatalano

Tofu butter “chicken”. Recipe by @theconsciousplantkitchen

Burger patties with muenster cheese, smashed baked sweet potatoes, and corn & avocado salad

Gochujang salmon bites with jasmine rice, cucumber, edamame, and avocado. Recipe below:
- 1 lb raw salmon, cut into cubes
- 1.5 tbsp Gochujang
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
- 3/4 tbsp honey
- 1 glove minced garlic
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- Splash of rice vinegar
Mix sauce ingredients in a large bowl and then fold in salmon cubes. Marinate for 15-20 mins and then place salmon on a parchment lined tray so pieces aren’t touching. Bake at 400 F for 17 minutes. Eat with rice, cucumber salad, edamame and avocado, or anything else you’d like! Top with furikake.

We threw a mafia themed dinner party and it turned out so well! I made the appetizers and dessert, while my friend made the entree, and everyone else brought drinks. For drinks we had aperol spritzes and wine, and for the menu:
- Castelvetrano olives
- Truffle whipped ricotta crostini with honey
- Caprese salad
- Chicken piccata on capellini
- Olive oil pineapple upside down cake and vanilla gelato

Already so excited for the next dinner party. Any suggestions on themes? by @gobblewithgrace

Fave DMV restaurants from the past few months ⬇️⬇️⬇️

@himalayanwildyak delicious yak curry and great service

@sushi_gaku_dc nice atmosphere and good quality fish; faves were the fatty tuna roll and the yellowtail nigiri

@lapisdc popular Afghan restaurant in AdMo with delicious lamb shank and complex cocktails

@lardentedc vibey Italian spot with its famous 40 layer lasagna but I loved their carbonara too

@bazaarbyjose one of José Andrés’ spots with pricey but creative small plates; the oyster po boy was great but the star for me was the Japanese peach and burrata salad taken in Washington D. C. by @gobblewithgrace

Tried this Italian restaurant in Ballston and will definitely be heading back soon!

The carbonara was delicious and the portion size was huge. The tortelloni was also great, but the crab stuffed mushroom antipasti was our favorite. Only complaint was that some of the tables were really crammed together which was a little uncomfy, but overall a great experience with yummy food. 😋🍝 taken in Arlington, Virginia by @gobblewithgrace
