If you’re tired of the same old holiday desserts, try these Melomakarona—also known as Greek Christmas cookies! These cookies have subtle notes of cloves and orange zest, and are drenched in a rich honey syrup 🍯. While melomakarona are traditionally coated in walnuts, we opted for a pistachio and rose petal topping!

Cookies:

¾ cup olive oil
6 tablespoons orange juice
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup crushed pistachios
2 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon orange zest
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 and ¼ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground cloves

Honey Syrup & Toppings:

1 cup honey
¼ cup water
1 cup crushed pistachios
2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, orange juice, sugar, crushed pistachios, honey, and orange zest. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cloves. Then combine the wet and dry ingredients until fully incorporated. Using your hands, gather one tablespoon of dough, roll into an oval shape, flatten slightly, and place on the baking sheet. Repeat this process with the rest of the dough. Then press down on the tops of the cookies with a fork. Bake for 11-13 minutes. Once finished baking, let cool completely.

To make the honey syrup, combine the honey and water in a shallow saucepan. Heat until simmering. In a small bowl, combine the crushed pistachios and sesame seeds, and set aside. Take the saucepan off the heat and let cool. Then dip the cookies in the warm syrup, coating both sides. Sprinkle the tops of the cookies with the pistachio and sesame seed mixture.

Eat and enjoy during the holiday!

Quads and calves babyyy🦵

I’ve honestly been loving quad and calf day…something I’ve never thought would happen😅

Short and straight to the point👇

Gym maturity is realizing you only have to have 4-6 exercises to make a good and efficient workout!!

It was honestly when I was forced to have quick workouts that I realized that….but now that’s all I do!

Here’s the workout:

1) front squats
4x6-8
2) heel elevated narrow squats
4x8-10
3) weighted Bulgarian split squats
3x8-10
Superset 3&4
4) body weight Bulgarian split squats
3x10-12
5) heavy calf raises
3x20
Superset 5&6
6) body weight elevated calf raises
3x20

Don’t forget to save this workout so ya can try it later;) and let me know if you do🥰

Forever grateful for each one of you! Thanks for continuing to support me even with my lack of content lol

Love you all! Have an AMAZING week, and go crush those goals!!!💕
