13 years ago I sat on the floor of a mental hospital with a flimsy paper notebook and read poems to my fellow captured children. Our daily custom was sitting in a circle as I'd read to them over and over, as many times as I was asked to, giving a small comfort to myself and others, between the watchful eyes of guards and giant chain fences. The only thing that got me through each minute of pervasive evil in that place was repeating to myself that one day I'm going to write a book, one day I'm going to put my life and pain in print and people will be forced to see it. I didn't know how or when but I knew I needed to do that to survive. Today I can say that that vow has become real. My first book of poetry, Ancestral Hell, will be released this March 16th. Let this book serve as a physical testament to my persistence in this world and my continued rise and rise and rise and rise.

Ancestral Hell will contain 20+ poems i've written over the past couple years, and also some art, and is being released through wonderful and kind LA publishers @newritualpress

Thank you to those who have shown me unconditional love and support and a true interest and faith in what I do. To those who have understood my soul and really cared. Thank you to those who have pushed me to continue working to make my vision real because they thought it was important like I did.

I hope you look out for the release. by @godhole0000

I'm very excited to be partnering with Ornithology jazz club @ornithologyjazzclub every monday night in september to screen a series of films that I have curated - "Highly Visual Japan." These four films are some of my favorite surrealist, aesthetically extreme Japanese films from the second half of the 20th century. Will be played with subtitles.

Tickets are $22 and include entry to two jazz shows that will go before and after each screening - which is happening on the terrace upstairs! A portion of sales will go towards facilitating live music events in the city. Very fun nights for a good cause. QR codes for tickets to each screening can be found on the following slides
