Just because someone says that this is the opportunity, doesn’t mean that it’s truly meant for you. Some doors that swing open aren’t always the best option for us. Make sure you’re evaluating opportunities logically and not just emotionally. It may help you avoid certain issues on your way to where you’re going.

Take a moment. Give thanks. Soak in your environment. Be gracious. Breathe deep. Walk proudly. It’s a huge load to be a responsible and accountable person but it’s also a magnificent blessing to be able to do it consistently each day. Find a minute. Hit up the homie that makes you laugh. Spend some silly time with your kids. Watch that show that makes you bust up. Whatever is going on today (each day) find you way to some humor. Keep encouraging. Keep advocating. Keep cheerleading and coaching. Let’s hold each other accountable and celebrate that person the hardest when they reach that goal or milestone. Do people always come to you for advice? Are you the level headed one that calms the room? Do strangers just tell you their story out of nowhere? Keep on living. Things won’t always be how they are now. Even after that shifts and you get used to that, it will happen again. When people from your past pop up and say that you’ve helped them in some way (inspiration, encouragement, monetarily) it does something for your soul. I know it’s helped me to stay grateful and on that path. Thank you to those who have been instrumental in so many facets of my life. In this life, we don’t always get to just walk away from or take a break from the everyday routines and responsibilities. As much as we would like to snap our fingers and be on a beach, that’s not the reality. There’s always something to do or something to take care of. In all of this, please allocate some time for you to discover or rediscover who you are.
