Cycling without Age Summer 2025 Fundraiser

Cycling Without Age NYC partners with nursing homes/assisted living facilities in Harlem to bring the joys of cycling to seniors and community members with limited mobility.

Growing up in NYC and specifically the Bronx has taught me plenty about transit equity and specifically what thriving communities can be when health, mobility, affordability, safety, and accessibility are combined. As an avid able cyclist, runner, walker, commuter I am able to enjoy this city and really anywhere else with the flexibility to literally explore my surroundings near and far time and time again with fresh senses. From the panoramic vistas of the boroughs from the top of a bridge with a pedestrian path, to the breeze of a waterfront greenway, or the aromas of freshly baked bread on an early morning as I stroll though a neighborhood on a protected bike path, or the inner peace of mind I get when surrounded by the sound of leaves in the wind and the varied bird songs I hear when traversing through green spaces, I feel blessed day in and day out. These are experiences I enjoy sharing with others and would want for them as well. Unfortunately by a myriad of factors, not all New Yorkers have this same ability and that is why I hold Cycling Without Age near and dear to me. Please consider donating to help us continue to expand our fleet and as the name implies, truly bring the many joys of cycling to all ages. Help us create everlasting memories for generations to come.

This Summer together with others we'll be covering 200 miles to Poughkeepsie and back spreading the word about this org and why it deserves a chance to be in all communities. by @gokire

For the past 10 years, the Secret Sandy Claus Project www.sscpny.org has executed its mission to ensure as many children as possible can have the experience of Santa Claus visiting them for Christmas. Born out of necessity and relief from the aftermath of Super Storm Sandy, the Secret Sandy Claus Project has been able to distribute thousands of toys to children less fortunate throughout the Bronx and New York City. We intend to continue this mission again this year by delivering toys to thousands of children to their homes dressed as Santa, elves, and reindeer as well as hosting toy distribution events throughout New York City.

My supporting role is to help promote the Secret Sandy Claus Project by distributing toys in the Bronx by foot, vehicle, or bicycle. If you are interested in making a delivery, please DM me. We have several gifts left to distribute and a personal visit goes a long way.

If you cannot participate, please consider a donation instead. I may not see your donation, but thank you for your contribution.

A year out and just like that a quick flashback of an entire year gone by. The collective pause. As we begin to unpause and bring some semblance of Normal let's not forget our humanity. Even in our greatest struggles there is always HOPE. Receive and Give and keep the cycle going. It's the only way forward. taken in Manhattan Bridge by @gokire

Thanks @bronxcranksgiving, @lovingthebronx, and volunteers for making yesterday's food collection a success. This is not about winning prizes, but rather serves as a reminder that we are still here for eachother. I missed seeing your faces. So happy to have had a chance to reconnect. taken in The Point CDC by @gokire

@brooklyncranksgiving was in many ways bigger and better this year thanks to all the coordination it took to rethink what Cranksgiving can be in times of this pandemic. People are still in need. Organizations are still in need and so are small businesses. Together we raised funds for @brooklyncommunitykitchen, @iohnyc, @universecitynyc, and @bikecoopnyc to continue their work in Brooklyn communities. I was glad to meet very first timers and hear about their experiences today. The more we learn about the work that others do throughout the city, the more we can do to put in our grain of salt. Thank you @bedstuyrestoration for giving us a home base today and @brooklyncranksgiving volunteers who know very well that the planning never stops. Huge thanks goes out to @escapingny for never disappointing. My first Cranksgiving was in Bklyn and since then I was hooked. Sadly there were no polaroids this year by @dudemanshouse , but one thing is for sure. We are going to need wider lenses for these group photos. #brooklyncranksgiving #brooklyncranksgiving2020 taken in Restoration Plaza by @gokire

Today is only the start of a new day. Make the most out of it and keep fighting for truth, justice, and equality. We still have a long journey ahead, but the outlook is that much brighter. History has been made yet again #BidenHarris2020 #firstwomanvp taken in Robert F. Kennedy Bridge by @gokire
