Last Sunday was the “Designer Run” for ReOrient 2026 Festival! Next stop: TECH!

The designer run is an essential part of any production when designers and crews join the actors, stage managers, writers, directors and dramaturgs who have been building the play in the rehearsal hall. This past weekend, our new executive leadership and Board of Trustees took part in our annual planning retreat in San Francisco. It was an inspiring day of dreaming and plotting for our 30th Anniversary and beyond.

We are so thankful for this group of volunteers who give so much time, resource, and love to Golden Thread. And excited to welcome new Board members Selma Abinader, Evren Odcikin, and Matthew Spangler. Their commitment makes everything possible! by @goldenthreadplays

I had the pleasure of hosting @goldenthreadplays annual board retreat at my home this year, during a very special milestone—our 30th anniversary.

It was an inspiring day spent with a group of smart, thoughtful, and deeply committed people, reflecting on where Golden Thread has been and imagining where we can go from here.

We welcomed three new board members @odcikin, @matthew.spangler.1 & Selma Abinader.
