This one hit differently for me. As someone who has experienced domestic violence in a past marriage, seeing violence toward a woman used as entertainment or a punchline in a golf ad was incredibly triggering and honestly baffling.
Golf is supposed to be a space we’re working to grow, make more welcoming, and make safer for everyone. Content like this does the opposite.
I appreciate that the video was removed, but I hope the conversation doesn’t stop at “it missed the mark.” The bigger question is how did it make it through so many layers of approval in the first place?
For survivors, domestic violence isn’t edgy humor. It isn’t a marketing angle. It’s real life, real trauma, and something many people carry long after they’ve left the situation.
We can be funny. We can push boundaries. We can create content that gets people talking without making violence against women the joke. I believe both @goodgood and @callawaygolf can do better. And as leaders with enormous influence in the golf industry, I hope they will do better.

Let this be more than a deleted post. Let it be a lesson.

We are beyond excited to finally share our very first SLĀ commercial, which will be shown at the @hollyshorts Film Festival from 8/13–8/23! Watching our vision come to life has been such a surreal experience, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make it happen.
