Last week I had the incredible opportunity to ride the @strandasnowboards #Pipeliner 185. I had no idea what to expect and, to be honest, was quite intimidated by the length (by far the longest board I’ve ridden, by 15cms! And 26cms longer than my daily driver + about 2 meters larger turning radius than I’m used to!) The board is also on the stiffer side of the spectrum for me.

It took me a couple of runs, but I definitely got the hang of it. I’ve never ridden a board like this and it has certainly expanded my mind as far as the benefits of length, effective edge, grip and what it means to get really comfortable with speed! It amazed me what I was actually able to ride on this board, from wide open low-angle slopes to steep narrow corridors, I carved it all! With confidence!

Not a board I would bring out every day and not a board I would recommend to most riders, but a special board to hopefully one day add to my quiver - a board that I can push to the absolute limits and learn from - a rare and exciting thing indeed!

Thank you @matsdrougge & @lars.justaride for continuing to expand my snowboard horizons. Where do we go from here? 🤙
