My painting ‘The Girls’ is about my experience with motherhood. It’s now hanging in the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art / @virginiamoca

The opening was more than I could have imagined. Thank you to my friends and family who came to support, who called, who texted, who emailed, who sent cards, sent flowers, who celebrated this milestone with me in a hundred ways big and small. The older I get the more I see how the little things are the big things.

I wrote about this piece on my Substack- link in bio. You can visit it in person at the @virginiamoca from September 10th - March 21st 2026. I’d love to hear what you think ❤️

Thank you to the curators @art__hak @itsdoublemc @tylerblackwell for selecting this piece that is so special to me and that poured out of my body last August.

“How to get a @nyc_dot mural commission” is my topic on @substack this week. 🍊 link in bio 🍊I’ve written a lot about the actual painting and the installation processes before but this is the first time I’m really focusing on all the things before you even get picked. And you’ll get the story of the last picture. Let me know what you think 🙃
