We have a lot of making to do before the year ends.

New crafts to try, new people to meet, things to make with our hands, and little moments to slow down in between it all.

Here’s what the rest of the year looks like at Good Omen.
Save the calendar, pick what you’d like to try, and come play with us. You don’t have to be “creative” or know what you’re doing, curiosity is enough.

Last weekend, we gathered at @newculturestu for an afternoon of learning macramé with @craftandthelady

We started with ropes, learnt the knots and techniques, and slowly watched them take shape in our hands. By the end of the workshop, everyone left with a bag they had made themselves and, more importantly, a new skill to keep.

There’s something really special about being able to say, I made this.

Thank you to @craftandthelady for bringing her craft to Ibadan 🪢

Missed this one? our next macramé sessions are:
Saturday 21st November - 10 seats left
Sunday 22nd November - 9 seats left

And there’s more making to come before then, Good Omen has a few other craft gatherings planned, and we can’t wait to share them with you💛 taken in Ibadan, Nigeria by @goodomen.ng

Came for the macramé bag, stayed for the vibes🤭
There’s something so satisfying about creating something with your own hands🫶🏻especially when you’re surrounded by good energy, laughter and beautiful people🥰🥹❤️

From learning the knots to watching those cords slowly turn into an actual bag… I loved every bit of it!

Definitely an experience I’d do again🤭🤩 #macramebag #ritzy #explorepage✨ #ibadan by @goodomen.ng

Macramé Across Borders 2.0 🪢

Ibadan, Oyo State 🇳🇬

Sometimes, it’s the simplest things that remind us how connected we really are – and suddenly, people who may have never crossed paths before are sitting around the same table, creating something together.

This time around, we came together with Omenogor of @goodomen.ng Ibadan, in a beautiful collaboration for her Made to Keep: Macramé Workshop Experience.

Two creatives with a shared belief in the quiet power of art and craft to connect people, create community and open up new possibilities.

And what a beautiful coming together it was!

Despite all the knocks and little hurdles along the way, we made it happen — and somehow, it turned out to be one of our liveliest gatherings yet. There was so much banter, laughter and ease in the room, and the ladies came ready to learn, make and simply enjoy the moment. It truly became one for the books.

We’ll be sharing more from the Made to Keep: Macramé Workshop Experience in the coming posts.

But first… where should Macramé Across Borders go next???
Drop your city + country in the comments.

We just might show up! 🤎

Ibadan, we’re making something new.
For the next Made to Keep, we’re bringing macramé to Ibadan for the very first time.

We’re partnering with @craftandthelady , a Lagos-based macramé studio, for an intimate, hands-on bag-making experience where you’ll learn the art of knotting, creating and turning simple cords into something beautiful and most importantly, learn a skill you can take with you long after the workshop ends.

Come ready to make with your hands, have wholesome conversations, and leave with something you made to keep.

No experience needed, just come ready to connect, explore and enjoy the evening with us.

Just 10 of us around the table.💛

From our hands to your homes.

The artwork from Slow Mail No. 001 has found its way into the homes, journals, and little corners of our community.

Each edition of Slow Mail will feature a different artist, it is a small way for us to share beautiful work, support artists, and give you something to keep.

We loved seeing where this first piece ended up💛

Slow Mail No. 002, soon.
