October 12th, 2011 was a simpler time. Before I ever picked up a camera or even thought about it, I was spending every spare dollar that I had going to concerts and getting as close to the stage as possible to see my favorite artists. When Mac Miller came to Chicago on the Blue Slide Park Tour, I took both of my sisters to the show to meet him. Mac performed an incredible set, including this cover of Wonderwall by Oasis. I thought that this moment in the show really captured a great side of him that I like to think of when I hear his name. Seeing Mac perform never got old, and his music got me through some really difficult parts of my life. Even after several years, it’s still hard to believe that he’s really gone. Listening to his music has been extremely difficult for me since his passing. Unfortunately, I find that it makes me uncomfortably depressed, even on my best days. However, Balloonerism finally releasing drove me to find my old phone and retrieve this footage so that I could remember the better times. Please enjoy this moment from the 2nd row, behind some random guy who could not stop itching his head. 😩🎈👍🏼 taken in House of Blues Chicago by @goontronics
