Started this oil painting a few months back and took a longer break than I thought I would but finally came around to finishing it. ☺️ This painting was from a photo I took of a vibrant orangey red zinnia with wildflowers that I came across on one of my travels many years ago during a really rough season in my life.

I remember feeling drawn to its colors and was grateful I came across it even though I was in such deep sadness.

Painting the zinnia now especially with the sunlight shining through gave me a moment of appreciation knowing that those times are thankfully behind me 🥹🧡❤️

Making progress. One brush stroke at a time. Painting truly teaches me the value of trust the process but also being patient 🙏🏼

Beginning stages of an oil painting for my friend Cara. She asked me to recreate her mom's favorite photo of her dad fly fishing in Rocky Mountain National park. 🤍 (Slide over to the last pic for the original photo) Michael loved the outdoors, biking, hiking and of course fly fishing. He was deeply loved by his friends and family so I was incredibly honored when Cara asked me to paint a portrait in honor of her dad as a surprise gift for her mom 🙏🏼

Last month my amazing abuelita turned 91 years old! ❤️🥹 This woman has my whole heart and I'm beyond grateful to have my grandma still going strong. Despite everything she's been through, her infectious laugh and bright spirit continue to shine and bring joy to all those that know her. Always kind, loving, protective, outspoken and never fails to find an opportunity to sing or dance! 🎶💃🏻 For her birthday, I felt inspired to make an oil painting from one of my favorite pics captured of her. Love her smile and laugh. She's most definitely one of a kind and I pray that God continues to bless her with many more years. 🙏🏼 I love you abuelita ❤️

Love Rory's little teeth! 😆🥹 Definitely one of my most favorite parts of drawing him.
.
I'm excited to explore Procreate and everything it has to offer but for sure I will continue to create using my main media too! (oil paint, acrylics, pencils, charcoal, etc.)🎨

Tried something new and I'm so glad I did! Normally I use oil paint, acrylics, pencils, pens, inks, etc. to create. Since I'm a creature of habit, I've never felt the urge to do digital art or learn to use it. 😅 Well that all changed when Marina asked me if I could draw a sketch of her cute pups to add to her bridal party sweaters. (Such a personalized and great idea btw! Scroll over to see the final result of her sweater design. I only drew the pups, she did the rest! 😄) Marina also ended up using the drawings of Lulu and Rory for the Photo Booth photos at her wedding! 🥹
.
I absolutely love the process of using procreate and the convenience of being able to draw in bed/the couch using just one drawing tool. Thank you Marina for trusting me to draw your babies and encouraging me to try something different. Thank you Taylor for letting me borrow your IPad so I could finish the drawings and a final huge thank you to my love Stace for gifting me with a new IPad and personalized pencil to continue my journey in creating more pieces! 🫶🏼💜

Not my typical post here on this page but I decided to try something new! Thats the great thing about art, the process is just as rewarding and fun as the outcome!

I couldn't find an E.T. toy at any Goodwill and I wasn't willing to pay full price for a toy online or in a store 😅 so I was determined to make my own! I don't think I've done papier-mâché since elementary school!? Loved getting my hands messy with this one!!

Here is E.T made from beginning to end for my Halloween costume! 🤍
