wowah! OH! GOODY! Bookings is calling October our month and we’re ready to take over Melbourne with 3 different shows across 3 different venues.

we’re feeling confident, excited and ready to show why we and these musicians are superstars in our own ways. Each of these shows has an element that reaches into the beyond with their music and showmanship that makes them and these shows hard to ignore.

We travel across to fairy cinematic folk on OCT 15th for the onto Freshly Squeezed Session showcase.

We venture into a siren swept, earthy witch folk-rock (think Florence & The Machine) asking you take the chance with a lucky lineup OCT 22nd.

Ending the month is a BIG event that wants you to take a step into the unknown, have a boogie with a vampire, share a drink with a werewolf, laugh with a ghost or some other creature. This is the big night where you can dress up, be playful, be curious and rock out to the best across alt-rock, punk and pop-rock on OCT 30th.

Tix in the bio, we’ll see you soon!

Σ੧(❛□❛✿) thinking about how I learned that astrological I’m Saturn dominant and that has taught me a lot about how to view myself, my manifestations, dreams and goals - also how fitting that it works with Capricorn being my most dominant sign in the 8th house (deals with the occult)

idk about you but I believe in astrology and how it can be some insight into you and I’ve had this big awakening, it’s v cool by @got_tyra

PART 2: meet the femme-fronted bands and understand what they’re looking forward to with an event like this, nothing stronger than women with belief in themselves, others and a supportive community

we have to take matters into our own hands and transform live music events and get women on the stage more - CHAINS OF ROCK is an event just for that. It’s one of many specially curated women focused lineups by OH! GOODY!

tix for this show are on moshtix or in the bio - see you soon xx

time to learn about the event, the renovated music venue, what you can expect at the event from the musicians and more through this and the soon to follow videos <3

show up for women in music and the ways we show up in the music industry 🙂‍↕️ both and off the stage

it’s time that we address the elephant sized hole in the live music (really music industry in general) room: women in music on & off the stage.

how do you actively make a difference? you repetitively push against the narrative and impose new cultures, new strategies and new ways to make people be seen, heard and enjoyed.

music is form of expression, self, and an empowering thing to create, perform and to take in as an audience - it’s important to make sure we as an industry do not fall into patterns of what is “easier” but what is good, intentional and what will power the future of music and music spaces: more women voices in the front on purpose over & over & over again.

OH! GOODY! strives to make inclusive, safe, and an uplifting environment for those on and off the stage by honouring those who don’t always get a chance to take up space in live music events. If you feel uncertain about an event featuring all femme-fronted bands or pre-dominantly female artists, you need to take a moment and think why?

Tear down those biases and let’s re-create what music and live music can be, stay tuned to hear about how you can support by coming to one of our shows this week and in the future <3

V important q: how many eggs is too many eggs to eat in 1 day?

I genuinely think I’m more like Mulder from X-Files in many ways, next Substack write up?

probably one of the best pictures I’ve taken in a photo booth yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah 🥴🤪

the bibimbap I had today was the most delicious thing I’ve eaten. I was so hungry and that BIG bowl of HOT purple rice (the good authentic Korean rice), veg, bulgogi, kimchi plus seafood soup had me soooo satiated. My body needed that - me all alone in that Korean restaurant during lunch was taking the time to eat it slowly and to enjoy it while the hospo staff talked among themselves.

it was a delight

i really wanna do karaoke, but like coin karaoke. not open mic karaoke, I want friends and I cue up a playlist to sing to and be loud to in a little room. Ideal conditions

why aren’t pancakes mobile? like you can walk and eat a folded up crepe, why aren’t we doing this with pancakes? I’m also saying this as a crepe anti.

i learned a new term thanks to @crisielbee and now you all have also learned a term: friend-in-law.

Your friend-in-law taught me this term and now you can use it. Congrats!
