POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I asked my tarot deck how the show tonight will go at The Last Chance and got a phenomenal spread!

The energy shows that tonight’s show will be fun, full of relief and a lot of potential for everyone to use to blossom. It is showing how trusting the process of organising (and performing) at live music events is always worth putting on even if it feels like a leap of faith. It’s worth taking the chance and that belief is how you can overcome challenges, anxieties and worries: it can all melt away into emotion that can be so uplifting.

It’s planting seeds for connection, community, reliance, and joy.

Woah, tonight is going to be beautiful!! I’ve also included info about each of the tarot cards the artists on the lineup represent. Swipe to see!

Show poster - tonight @ 7 PM

online presales available until 7 PM, then it’s $20 at the door

CLODAGH & THE MONOLOGUE are the MAGICIAN

this is personally one of my favourite cards and I believe it captures her and her bands energy so well, both on and off stage.

“Harness, some of the Magician’s power to make the world you desire most”.

Tarot description from: Labyrinthos

SAGE ROADKNIGHT is THE WORLD

The energy of Sage is truly one of the world - you hear it in her music and see it in her image. One that moves with a flow, purpose and ready to enlighten your spirits.

“The meaning of underworld World card is fulfilment, achievement, and completion. This shows that all the efforts that you have been putting in place are starting to pay off”.

Tarot description from: Labyrinthos

DREW PATERSON is THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE

What do you get when you are ready to play and be vulnerable? That’s Drew, who is entering a new phase of his music career, willing and ready to take a spin on the wheel of fortune to see how his luck will grow. And, it’s certainly in his corner as he is taking those chances and making his fate his own.

“The same forces that govern the changing of the seasons, or the rising and setting of the sun id also the master of luck and fate of individuals”.

OH! GOODY! is teaming up with the one and the only LILY B for her Melbourne stop of her SLOW DOWN SOLDIER National EP tour!!!

I am so happy that I received outreach from SPRUIK MANAGEMENT about collaborating on the Melb stop at the Retreat for this tour to make it one unstoppable night of alternative music that spotlights local Melbourne support acts and puts more women in Australian music on lineups.

So excited for this show on Saturday and how incredible of an opportunity it was and is to help find an opener and be of assistance with a show and tour of this scale.

Get out to The Retreat on Saturday - you’re in for such a treat!

book, watch, pay and support more women in music to enforce and transform the relationship that people have with live music experiences. the presale ticketing experience is gendered and rooted in the sexist and patriarchal makeup of the music industry - there is a different understanding of risk, safety, advocacy and trust of making yourself known in music regardless of your position, genre and goals.

women have to work harder in a way in music that can ruffle feathers to be vibrant, unforgiving and empowered - it shows up in each day. the masculine roots in music need more of a push back to demonstrate why more women on lineups are powerful and important - doing that can change the relationship with going to their shows. Having the same faith in women in music as men can bring change, you gotta call it out first and do real action towards changing it.

me last weekend being mischievous and planning an epic pop up event, I wonder what you could do with your Saturday? Take a looksies

so glad we don’t do boring weekends over here at OH! GOODY! Bookings 🙂‍↕️ time for you get yourselves over to @theworkersclub on Saturday night or you might find yourselves dealing with some serious FOMO

and I never lie about how amazing I think the shows I book are and this one is no different. embrace a pop-up mixed genre event with the most stellar lineup around

swipe through to catch a vibe

Rhoden - the main event, the main man, the headliner who is ready to give you his all with new tunes, moments that will linger in your head, and give you the energy needed to wrap the night on: energising and fun.

carving his name as an emerging pop star - he is one to keep your eye on. I’m so happy that we finally were able to get a show booked together. He’s been on my radar for over a year now and it’s been finding the right opportunity to make it possible. I have been enjoying seeing his progression so no better time than now.

I heard he did so well as his most recent headline that I knew this was the best choice to lean in to and I think you’ll enjoy what he is planning for his set

#emergingartist #supportlocalmusic #popmusic #ausmusic #livemusicmelbourne

Amalia - the main support who knows how to make the stage her own in any form. ahead of her big launch (next month) Amalia is performing as a duo and will be making for an entertaining and wowing performance.

I’ve been lucky to have worked with Amalia a few times now and she never disappoints - each time I’m in awe. She is the perfect main support for this show.

#melbournemusicscene #ausmusic #poprock #womeninmusic

DBC - woaaaah! an opener like no other. When you’re looking for someone who will get the energy going, pull in a crowd and show that they are an unstoppable force, DBC is the guy.

I was impressed when I came across his style of hip-hop/rap because it’s fresh, alternative and exactly the type of musician you want to drive the event to new heights.

I’ve been thinking so hard on what type of lineup to bring him on because he has such a sick style and

I got a reminder on TikTok that 3 years ago today I was filming a GRWM talking about working & living in London, in which I was not super sure if live music would be the path I went down for a career choice.

Here I am now 3 years later, with my own independent booking agency - figuring it all out to carve the experience I want to have and others to have in live music while also pursuing a PhD. I look towards the longterm and each day it keeps growing, it’s cool to measure the progress when you believe in yourself and what you can do. It involves risks, trust in yourself, getting out of your own way, figuring out the steps and taking the plunge.

I wonder what another 3 years will look like for me? :0

wowah! OH! GOODY! Bookings is calling October our month and we’re ready to take over Melbourne with 3 different shows across 3 different venues.

we’re feeling confident, excited and ready to show why we and these musicians are superstars in our own ways. Each of these shows has an element that reaches into the beyond with their music and showmanship that makes them and these shows hard to ignore.

We travel across to fairy cinematic folk on OCT 15th for the onto Freshly Squeezed Session showcase.

We venture into a siren swept, earthy witch folk-rock (think Florence & The Machine) asking you take the chance with a lucky lineup OCT 22nd.

Ending the month is a BIG event that wants you to take a step into the unknown, have a boogie with a vampire, share a drink with a werewolf, laugh with a ghost or some other creature. This is the big night where you can dress up, be playful, be curious and rock out to the best across alt-rock, punk and pop-rock on OCT 30th.

Tix in the bio, we’ll see you soon!

as an independent booking agency of 1 (for now), I needed an ethos that would make me feel energised and motivated to do this hard but rewarding work: socially engaged live music.

It is important to me to have events that reflect who I am as a person, my values and overall what matters to me. Curating live music events is very much like art gallery curation: it involves understanding the start and end of the show (organising), understanding the way it may be interpreted by the artists and potential audience members, the logistics, the order of the musicians to build up momentum/energy, and who gets the opportunity to present their music across various events in various spaces.

This is an ethos that keeps me grounded and full of life to make live music aware of itself for all who get to experience it. each of my events reflect this ethos and I think that’s pretty cool!
