Life isn’t always a straight path forward. If you had asked me 5 years ago I would have said I’d still be designing the Virginia class submarines for the Navy, as a senior engineer.

If you had asked me 10 years ago I would have had no idea in the slightest where I’d be.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned through this journey it’s this:

Your new life is going to cost you your old one.

I’ve walked away from friends, relationships, and opportunities that would have led me down a completely different path. Who knows where I would be right now if I had stuck with what I was doing and continued on as I was.

Here’s the thing though:

You can’t split test life. You make a decision and roll with it, and adapt as it goes. You can’t stick around wondering “what would have happened if…?”

Just send it. Make the content. Chase your dream. Do whatever it is you want to do with your life. You only have one.

Filming Nicole’s and Johannes’s wedding was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Not only was I welcomed like family by them, their family, and their friends, but I was able to learn so much about the Romanian culture, food, and lifestyle.

I am so so grateful to @nicolenaghi and @johannesnaghi for two absolutely incredible weeks. I’m so glad to have made a ton of friends out in Romania, and I can’t wait to go back again!
