From Elmira, NY to the dirt, dust, and chaos 🤠🔥

Had the opportunity to cover Buck Rope Rodeo, and this event was EVERYTHING a rodeo should be insane energy, wild bull riding, powerful horses, cattle roping, and a crowd that brought the heat from start to finish. 🐂🐎🔥

Every moment had a story. Every ride had a little more intensity. And being able to capture it all from behind the camera was an experience I won’t forget.

Big thank you to everyone involved with Buck Rope Rodeo for trusting me to be there and capture the action, the people, the behind-the-scenes moments, and the energy that made this event what it was. Truly grateful for the opportunity. 🙏

More from this one coming soon. 👀🎥

I’ve always said this is for anyone and everyone but that’s a lie. I’m actually extremely picky with who I am around. There’s no amount you could pay me if I thought for a second you’d be anything but a positive addition to the team. I don’t care how tough, how fast or if you know how much wood a woodchuck could chuck if he even could chuck wood.

Running Iceland with this team is about coming together. 2027 is invite only. If you think you fit it send me a message and we’ll get to it! But as always I want not just myself but everyone else to benefit from being around one another. Everyone brings something to the table.

It’s about these moments of embrace.

it’s about no man/woman being left behind.

It’s about embracing the hard times with laughter.

It’s about who you are in these moments.

With 101 reasons to quit but everyday you show up with your “why” and that is a gift to us all.

And of the Boli at the end of each day.

@joe_bradford said it first - “best place ever” 😂

Finding the words for what “run Iceland” is like is tough.
It’s so much more than anything I could try to type out on here. It’s the running, the exploring, the sleepless nights, the early mornings filled with light rain and afternoons filled with sunshine. If you’re lucky a night filled with auroras. But most importantly it’s the people. Without you all opening up and letting yourself be exactly who you are with no restraints - being unapologetically you… to battle through the physically strains and dive deeper into any emotions you have that rise to the surface…it’s what makes this so fun. You never know what you are going to get but it’s always beautiful. Something about 100 miles allows us to walk/limp away with some incredible memories we will have forever.

2025 we ran the recon. 2026 we launched the first episode. 2025 - was the definition of chaos. 2026 we met controlled chaos. 2027? TBD

2025 We went with the plan to find out if it was even possible. 187 miles coast to coast in 5 days. 60mph winds, rainstorms, sandstorms, Long story short we realized it just wasn’t what this was about. Over the recon attempt we lost a few just 16 miles in. If you come for luxury in the way of silk sheets and a starlink you’re in for a rude awakening.

We learned this is about the people you cross with and not the numbers on your watch.
Extrinsically driven > intrinsically motivated

With the recon assessed - 2026 became less miles, same days and more scenes.

It’s not just physically demanding crossing 125 miles but emotionally eye opening in ways you may not have realized. This isn’t easy. It’s not suppose to be. I think you can cheat so much in life but running 100+ miles forces you to bite down and dig deep in ways you haven’t before. It’s a beautiful thing if you let it happen. You come for the journey but when s*** hits the fan you realize this is why you came and from there it’s the family that form that keeps you in it. You stand by your brothers and sisters out there and support them through their journey like they do for you.

And of course blessed to have these two film it all -

It’s like your local social 5k on Wednesday run but just 35x in a row … not a race. Somewhere between a social run and an expedition.

To @goudallc Jerome, where to start. I remember seeing your reel about destination weddings and knew had to shoot you this idea - destination runs/expeditions across some crazy countries. I got your vibe from IG and thought “ya i can get down with this dude” but had no idea what I was getting into - fast forwarding to Iceland 2026 - i shot you a message to finally lock it in. From the get go the vibes matched and then some. Beyond the vibes was just a genuine human being with an endless array of talents. 67 languages and A dance move… some would beg to differ if that’s even at 100% but let’s move on. You never let up from the second you touched down in Iceland. You made the team feel like superstars and the hero’s they are, popping out of nowhere after a long day on the road, shooting from every angle and bringing the energy that we all needed. I’ve worked with crews over the years and witness countless more photographers from the sidelines of other runs and let’s just put it bluntly, most make me fall asleep. Personality wise and content. Not to dump on them too much here but trying to emphasize how ridiculously talent you are and special you are as a person. The creative you have alone is out of this world. The camera skills are one thing but just your knowledge and work ethic, the atmosphere around you radiates with this essence of GOUDA that can’t be described or held down. Watching you in your element everyday - it was unreal and so cool for all of us to see. The way it gave everyone, literally everyone, the biggest smile just seeing you do you. We got to dive deeper into who Jerome is and just see you come alive with this passion you have for what you do. It’s such a unique thing in this world to love what we do and i don’t know if i know anyone who does as much as you. And so i thank you for gifting us with this opportunity to again witness how you operate and move through life, inspiring is an understatement and also for capturing this moment in a way only one man/team could.
