Inherited a G Plan piece? Or perhaps you have scored a brilliant second-hand find.

Your furniture’s label can tell you a lot about the time period it’s from! Labels are often tucked away in discrete places, under tabletops, tucked into drawers or stamped on the back.

For an in depth guide to identification via label, we recommend checking out Hunt Vintages article, which you can find linked in our bio. If in doubt about a label, give us a call, our contact information is on our website.

Our iconic 62 Chair…

Designed in (you guessed it) 1962. This Chair has been an icon for generations. With a distinctive wide back, beautifully comfortable seat and convenient swivel base, this Chair is every retro lover’s dream.

This Chair is a pop culture icon, featuring in one of the most memorable Bond scenes of all time. Supervillain Ernst Stavro Blofeld sits upon the chair with his cat during You Only Live Twice. The Chair has also featured in films such as Fahrenheit 451 and Mr Harrigan’s Phone.

Famously, the Chair was also used in The Beatles Help film. In the film, you can see John Lennon strumming his guitar whilst leaning back in the Chair.

The 62 is still available for purchase today. by @gplandesign
