POSTS STORIES REELS

2019 was such a tumultuous year. I personally feel that it started and ended so fast. I cannot really put into words the perfect ending to this chapter of my life. Pursuing another career besides photography and stepping out of my comfort zone has been challenging yet very fruitful. I have learned a great deal about myself and met many people that really made an impact in my life.
One of the most important goals that I have set last year was simply to be happy and do what I love. However, 2019 was a year full of adversities that tested me mentally and physically. I often felt so burned out.
Main lesson: Life should not just be bathed in rainbow coloured lights. “The quest for perpetual happiness is neither possible nor realistic. One cannot know the true meaning of joy if you have never experienced sorrow. People who can soar to the highest heights can also plunge to the deepest depths. It’s a balance and it’s the beauty of it.” Anyway, I finally managed to finish this series that I took a year ago with dearest @mariaamanda_official , wearing one of my favourite gowns by @maria.heller.designs . Taken inside @kronborgslot , which is known around the world as Hamlet's Castle. :) by @gracealmera

Not all those who wander are lost ✨

Sometimes, we just need to get away for a while. Away from work, responsibilities, and the constant noise of everyday life.

That’s what photography has always been for me. A chance to slow down, breathe, and disappear into a world of my own making, even if it’s just for a few hours.

So, I packed my gadgets in my #Gutek, grabbed my #NanliteFC-120c, and bugged Lisbeth to escape with me for the day. We wandered around and created our own little world for a while. Something that felt a little magical. A little like stepping into Middle-earth.

And honestly, sometimes escaping reality for a moment is exactly what helps me come back to it.

Also, pretty sure Lisbeth was supposed to be an elf in another life 🌸

These photos were taken back in 2018. A couple of years ago, while I was traveling in the Philippines, I randomly came across one image from the series that I really loved but had somehow overlooked. So I edited that one and re-edited two others, mainly to experiment with the color grading and refine my style.

It was way too hot to be outside, so I stayed in a coffee shop and edited for a while before meeting up with my childhood friends.

Last week, while going through old files, I found them again and realized the series was almost finished.

I hope you enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed creating them 😊♥️ by @gracealmera

Some images I took when I was in France a couple of years ago with the amazing @bw_duo, @justine_schiano and @clementinechbt, adorned in the creations of @fraiseauloup ♥️

Finished editing this series with stunning @cozy_neku / @nekuma.ltx ✨These are pretty different from my usual style, but I’ve been having a lot of fun experimenting with lights, themes, and different genres this year while still editing them in a way that feels like me 😊

The outdoor images were difficult to capture. The lighting kept changing, and it was below freezing outside, so I had to work quickly. I rotated the models and photographed them for 5 minutes at a time so they could go inside, warm up, and head back out again.

Really happy with how these images turned out, and I’ll definitely try this again at next year’s Copenhagen Light Festival with different locations. Hopefully, it won’t be as cold 🥶

Thank you so much @kittysmortensen and @unimartin for co-modelling and assisting ♥️ by @gracealmera

More images from a cyberpunk inspired set with @unimartin ❤️‍🔥 Gratitude to @cozy_neku for assisting with the lights and @kittysmortensen for taking some bts vids! You guys are amazing! 🤗

A lil #BTS from a shoot some months ago ✨
Used the #NanlitePico for the light, which is honestly one of my favorite things to bring on location shoots because it’s easy to carry around ♥️

Also very grateful for the models for making this shoot such a fun one 🤗
