Officially 40 days out from the Chicago Marathon!🏙️🏃‍♀️

I’ve hit distances I never thought I’d reach, and endured heat training I was sure I wouldn’t survive!

This season has been such an incredible season of growth and character-building for me. In one of the busiest seasons of my life, I’ve challenged myself, pushed myself, and continued to show up for myself in ways I’m really proud of.

With only 40 days left, I’ve raised almost half of my fundraising pledge, but I still have a little over half left to raise—and I need your support!

For those who do not know, I chose to apply to run for St. Jude because of the way it has impacted Bryson’s life, as well as the multitude of other children and families who are supported by St. Jude.

I feel incredibly honored to have the opportunity to do something that is so important to my heart. If you find it in your heart to support my fundraising goal, I would be so incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings me one step closer to reaching my goal and supporting the incredible work St. Jude does for children and their families.

Grandma,

Words can’t describe how much I miss you! Having you as addition to our day to day life over the past 3 years has been the sweetest joy! Thank you for all of your stories and coffee time chats. Thank you for being apart of my mom’s life in all of the best ways. She always said she needed you more than you needed her. It was a beautiful relationship that I was lucky enough to have been apart of. My friends and I wish there was one last dance party we could put on for you, but I know the rejoicing you’re doing with your Heavenly Father and husband are better than what we could do here on earth.

I miss you grandma! Not many people can say they created memories with their great grandma. I’m lucky enough to have made extra ones everyday for 3 years.

SO BEYOND EXCITED TO OFFICIALLY BE A ST JUDE HERO❤️
On October 11th I’ll be running the Chicago Marathon in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and fundraising on their behalf!

St. Jude is a cause that’s close not only to my heart, but one that has made a huge impact in Bryson’s life—along with so many children and families. That makes this opportunity incredibly meaningful to me. I’m honored to run for kids who rely on the life-saving work St. Jude does every day.

A full trip around the sun with out you being the brightest part of my day. Days that followed you leaving left me wondering what your first encounter with our Heavenly Father went like. I personally think he was awaiting your arrival with two thumbs up and an apple pie. He was a proud father in that moment because you left this earth better than when you arrived.

Living out Romans 15:13 so incredibly. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” you left this earth having overflowed into many people including me and my friends. I can’t thank you enough for fully demonstrating what it meant to seek God and live out his truth. Since you did this so well people saw and heard God through you. I see you in so many things, and I hear you every time I scream too loud in the house.

We still celebrate you and your presence has never once left the home. Whether it’s eating apple pies, mema teaching me how to have your green thumb (i left a plant in my friends car the first day i got, clearly im still learning), or taking a nap in your chair, there isn’t a day that goes by where i don’t miss you. I am truly so lucky to have had you for 23 years and i look forward to seeing you again 💛 by @gracie_cox
