thank you for making bouquets from your mom’s garden, for being the kind of person i am deeply proud to introduce to anyone, for manually rewiring how my brain feels about my belly, for moving my extensive wardrobe out of an apartment for the 3rd time, for curating the proposal of my dreams, for being my family, for putting my earrings on the nightstand, for rewriting every bad story i told myself about me, for setting such a high standard of goodness in my life, for watching all the reels i send you, for giving me a second set of parents and siblings, for slaying the balancing act of virtual communication when we’re apart so we always feel close, for buying me a kayak, for being a true friend and role model for gavin, for being a professional bullshit detector, for asking my dad if you could marry me even though you were scared, for bringing my grandma trout in the spring and a homemade wreath in the winter, for perfecting your clam chowder recipe, for trying to dance for me, for bringing out the best in the people you choose, for never getting tired of hearing my mom exclaim ab how cute u are, for dressing up if i want to dress up, for reading my mind, for always GETTING it, for being entertained by the chocolate i get on everything, for thinking my best look would be shaving my head bald, for secretly having the sweetest singing voice, for giving me the gift of getting to be near you always. what a relief. following u around at that party was the best thing i ever did by @gracitha17

OVERFLOWING WITH A LEVEL OF JOY I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW WAS POSSIBLE . noah proposed to me after taking me on a tour of all our special places and secretly had our closest friends and syracuse family waiting for us at home 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

i kinda knew we would never not want to be together ever since the first night we hung out, talking in dan’s living room until the sun rose and feeling like i was hearing and speaking a language i understood for the very first time. even in those early days, just knowing each other has always felt like a promise. so has instinctively and joyfully building our life together for the past 6.5 years. trying to explain what our love is or defining it as a marriage is literally funny to me because it feels too infinite/special to put into words or a little box but i LOOOOOVE rings and weddings and NOAH and i want to eat up every earthly morsel of what it means to be married to him.

we are so grateful to get to spend our lives like this, so grateful to everyone who traveled and crafted and danced to celebrate us, and SO grateful to this band for bringing us together💗💛💜❤️💓🍀💙💘 by @gracitha17

i always fundamentally understood louie because his favorite things were cheese, ham, and laying down.

lover of snow, murderer of stuffed animals. he was either gay, just very fancy, or both. he always knew when any of us were sick, and would sit next to you while you weathered the storm. attention whore for being pet. would beg unless you were petting him at all times. KING of putting a paw on your lap to tell you he needs attention. constantly would lay his head in your lap face down. we’re convinced he was a human trapped in a dog’s body

i was under the impression he was a fluffy blonde angel sent down from heaven, and you can imagine my distress in finding out very suddenly that he was not immortal. i honestly thought this day would never come for some reason, and i certainly didn’t think it would come out of the blue like this, but we feel lucky just to have had him in our family. you only get one special dog like this in a lifetime i think

birthday boy noah 💩

thanks for showing up with cider and cinnamon sticks, for choosing to stay in bed with me half the mornings you were gonna wake up to fish, for seeing the hard things life throws at you as solvable crossword puzzles, for almost crying when they played Pup at Honre Club, for saying “hello ladies” when you drive by cows, for calling all other wild animals “sweetheart” (“hi sweetheart! excuse me, we need to get by” when there is a bird in the road), for thinking everything is amusing and possible, for being goated at problem solving when i freeze, for bringing the mini trampoline into the bathroom when i’m doing my makeup and you want to tell me an idea you had (in general, thanks for needing to bounce on a trampoline to think better and keeping one always), for teaching me how to ski this winter, for bringing my vera bradley duffle bag i got for middle school sleepovers across the country on tour for many years and refusing to get a real suitcase, for watching gossip girl and yelling at jenny humphrey with me so loud i have to text the neighbors, for always being someone i’m proud to know, for being grounded like a tree, for (albeit rarely) being the most delightful drunk person, for remembering everything i’ve ever told you, for being someone i wholeheartedly trust to do the right thing at any fork in the road, for not giving a fuck, for understanding the sacrament of enjoying every single thing and choosing to enjoy those things with me.
