Shallow Alcove LP1 !! I did not think that being a member of this band would change my life as much as it has, but here we are ! Every day we are together I learn something new about myself and everyone else. I like to think that the way we lead our lives as friends, is ultimately what this album is about. Constantly looking out for one another, dreaming toward the future and addressing the past—trusting your gut and speaking up to put your complicated feelings into words—whether it’s to you or your loved ones. The writing, planning, recording, and promotion of this project…which would’ve imploded without the help of Scoops Nick Delaney and Maddie…really felt like jumping off a 100ft cliff jump into a lake or something idk… but I don’t think I’m afraid of heights anymore XD it’s a solid listen probably and I hope it is different from what you expect… enjoy xx

We hope this album can come into your life like a new friend you’re sure you knew in another life. I hope that you can spend hours on end with it, tell it your secrets, see yourself through its eyes. Is that too much to ask??????

SURPRISE: WE SECRETLY DROPPED THE SECOND SINGLE OFF OUR DEBUT ALBUM, MERCY KILL (SCHRÖDINGER’S CAT)!!!!! 🐈‍⬛📦💘

this song was born last summer because i told dan i wrote something bad (verse 1) and he said it was good. we spent the rest of the day finishing the song in one sitting and fell deeeeeply in love with it. it was unlike our feelings towards any other song we’ve written; we spent hours just playing it together over and over and over. we were so high on our own supply that dan was literally moved to tears while i was recording the insanely simple guitar part for the demo lol. it was a really sweet feeling we got to ride together that doesn’t come often.

later, we recorded this song with the whole band in the dead of winter, sitting together in a big circle. we wanted you to feel like you were there too, so we kept everything as it was, just us playing together in a room.

fun fact, i’m really proud of this song bc i recorded vocals and guitar at the same time LIVE with the boys. i never ever track guitar for our songs, let alone live while singing my final vocal take, so i was feeling legit af

anyways, this is mercy kill. so many of you have viscerally connected already, which is unfathomable obviously. for everyone who has come so close to touching a flame that they got burned anyways. for everyone who’d rather never open the box than find out if the cat is alive or dead.

OVERFLOWING WITH A LEVEL OF JOY I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW WAS POSSIBLE . noah proposed to me after taking me on a tour of all our special places and secretly had our closest friends and syracuse family waiting for us at home 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

i kinda knew we would never not want to be together ever since the first night we hung out, talking in dan’s living room until the sun rose and feeling like i was hearing and speaking a language i understood for the very first time. even in those early days, just knowing each other has always felt like a promise. so has instinctively and joyfully building our life together for the past 6.5 years. trying to explain what our love is or defining it as a marriage is literally funny to me because it feels too infinite/special to put into words or a little box but i LOOOOOVE rings and weddings and NOAH and i want to eat up every earthly morsel of what it means to be married to him.

we are so grateful to get to spend our lives like this, so grateful to everyone who traveled and crafted and danced to celebrate us, and SO grateful to this band for bringing us together💗💛💜❤️💓🍀💙💘
