6 month update! What a difference from the last one. We’re building an incredible community together.

Special thanks to @jonathan.woods.largeformat and @anseldumbass for the amazing images.

I’m excited to be able to roll out a lot more upgrades in the coming weeks as well as get the app officially on the App Store for iOS and Android. Thank you all so much for your continued support and commitment to helping make this community what it is. by @graineryapp

What a month it's been since launch, absolutely flew past 3,000 users few days ago. I've been so busy getting the mobile apps ready and rolling out new features. Your enthusiasm is palpable and I can't thank you all enough for the support and encouragement you've given me. It has definitely pushed me to get the mobile apps done sooner.

I originally estimated about 6-8 weeks to complete the app (while simultaneously teaching myself how to code it) but thankfully I was a bit conservative with that estimate and we'll likely see the first build done and ready for testing at the start of next week. And I know I've been sharing a lot of the iPhone UI but there is also an Android app co-developed at the same time so fear not Android users.

If you haven’t already hit the link in bio and join our community and you just may be selected to join the app beta, who knows?

Did you know all the things you can search for on Grainery? Just like starting your search with a # will search for hashtags try out other modifier symbols.

Because every post is tagged with a Camera and Film stock each post is indexable with these filters. You can also search for #hashtags and of course other users.

The search feature is part of what makes Grainery not just a great social platform but learning tool as well.

Today marks 2 months since I launched Grainery.

The response has been so far beyond what I could have even dreamed. Really reaffirms the decision I made 2 years ago to teach myself how to code and turn this idea into a reality.

We’ve passed 5,000 new accounts, 13,000 photos, 200 Grainery+ subscribers.

I forgot to add we’re upping the max post count for free users up to 24. Almost to our final launch number of 36 photos.

Thanks to @_dustytraill_ & @onroadsandcameras for the amazing photos. You can find them both on Grainery.

We are huge supporters of what @kylespergallon aka @graineryapp is doing for the film photography community. Myself and Luke have been testing the platform/app out over the last few weeks and it really is great. Even it’s it’s early days.
It will keep growing and evolving, and Kyle has really been listening to what we, the consumer wants. ✅

Check out our recent podcast with Kyle (link in our bio) and check out what’s going on at @graineryapp ❤️

Just incredible! We've officially passed 2,000 new accounts since we launched less than a month ago. The response from the community has far surpassed my expectations. You are all amazing and I thank you for all your support and encouragement.

Currently the website is the only way to enjoy Grainery and all the amazing photos people are posting all the time. But this will soon change as the iOS and Android app development has nearly completed and the features are on par (and in most cases better) than the website. I know a lot of people are clamoring to be part of the beta test. I will announce more information in the coming days. Taking the weekend to relax a bit after a marathon 10 straight days of coding the mobile apps from scratch. Have a good weekend everyone! #filmiscertainlynotdead

The ads are getting a bit excessive now, no? Come try the #filmphotography focused social media that’s just photos. Here’s the search feature sorting for a #NikonF3 #portra400 and a #kiev88. Find new friends, share photos and stories. #filmisnotdead #35mm #mediumformat by @graineryapp
