POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s hard to find the right words for this, but the time has come to say goodbye to the Granite Zero Podcast.

This podcast was born out of one of the darkest periods of my life. After leaving the military, I struggled deeply with my mental health. I felt lost, isolated, and unsure of who I was or where I was heading. In 2019, I started Granite Zero as a way to cope, to give myself a purpose, and to try and make sense of the battles I was fighting internally.

Along the way, it wasn’t always easy. There were trolls, online bullies, and moments where giving up felt like the simplest option. But I kept going. And somehow, through the noise, the setbacks, and the doubt, something incredible happened.

Over 200 episodes were recorded. I had the privilege of speaking with amazing guests — brave, brilliant, honest people who shared their stories, wisdom, and vulnerability. Those conversations didn’t just help listeners… they helped me. This podcast uplifted me when I couldn’t lift myself. It guided me out of the darkness when I couldn’t see any light. It set me on the path to becoming a better version of myself.

Granite Zero became more than a podcast. It became a lifeline. A reminder that I wasn’t alone. A reminder that healing is possible.

And like all good movies and meaningful stories, this chapter has reached its end. The recordings have stopped, but the impact, the connections, and the lessons will stay with me forever. We may no longer be recording, but we remain one team, bonded by shared experiences and mutual support.

To everyone who listened, supported, shared an episode, came on the show, or stood by me through the struggles — thank you from the bottom of my heart. You helped save me in ways you may never fully know.

Thank you for the ride.

🎙️ GRANITE ZERO PODCAST — GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT

This week on the Granite Zero Podcast, we’re joined by Andile aka Denzel — a man with 12 years of service in the British Army and a story that goes far beyond the uniform.

Currently serving with the 1st Battalion Irish Guards, Andile has spent time in Rifle Platoons across 4 Coy and 2 Coy, as well as the Reconnaissance Platoon in 3 Coy.

His military career has taken him across the world, including Oman, Belize, Thailand, Kenya, the Falkland Islands, Louisiana 🇺🇸, Nigeria and Burundi, as well as a deployment to Iraq on Op Shader from 2019–2020.

He’s also represented the Infantry on the rugby pitch, served as a Section Commander at Guards Training Company, and played a key role in training the next generation of soldiers at Infantry Training Centre Catterick.

Now, after 12 years in the Army, Andile is taking on his next challenge — stepping into the world of entrepreneurship and building his new clothing venture, Beyond Sight.

From military life and overseas deployments to leadership, sport, transition and building something of his own — this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.

🇬🇧 FALKLANDS. NORTHERN IRELAND. IRAQ. AFGHANISTAN.

Different wars. Different places. Different generations.

But the memories stay.

From the Falklands, through Northern Ireland, the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan, and the conflicts in between — our veterans have stories that deserve to be heard.

Not polished. Not sugar-coated.
Real stories. Real experiences. From those who were there.

Come and sit down with Tommo. Have a brew. Have a chat. Talk about the good, the bad, the mates, the madness — and everything in between.

You don’t have to have the words.
You just have to turn up.

VETERANS WELCOME. GUESTS WELCOME.

🇬🇧🫡 COME CHAT WITH TOMMO.

Photo 1: Kandahar Afghanistan 🇦🇫 just before a foot patrol with the US Army pathfinders.

For someone in such high power President Trump talks a hole host of shit for someone who's never served a day in his life on the battlefield. Maybe because of his draft dodging past.

The UK and the US have had amazing partnerships and successes especially during operations in Afghanistan. To come out and state such rubbish is heartbreaking to those members of the armed forces who lost their lives for their country, and thousands more that live with the scares of battle physically and mentally.

On the podcast I have chatted with such incredible and inspiring individuals who where injured in war,

Likes of @leglessrobbo , @oneleg87 to name a couple who were injured fighting this war and have gone on to amazing things with their lives.

Not sure what he's trying to prove or provoke with that crap.

Anywhoo,
