“Never have I ever”

This is the second one from my ONS win.
I get the audience to play never have I ever along with the poem and we see at the end who has fingers left. Unfortunately having all your fingers down for this one is not a good think and it highlights that some people go through stuff that never even crosses other people’s minds#spokenword #manosphere #poetry #blackpoets by @graygraytaylor

Real men do….. what ever they want or need to as long as it harms no-one else.

Often the “Alpha wolves” follow each other, which ironically makes them the sheep they claim to hate.

Don’t let anyone bully you into depression just for being who you want to be.

Masculine peer pressure to be this default cardboard cut out of what we think a man is, is making so many men miserable.

Living a life of principle and “do no harm” is what matters.

This one is for anyone struggling with who they are or want to be, don’t let them drag you down.

hi folks 🌻 it's been a while, but we're back with day 16 of the tiny moves club ✨️

i've been offline for a week while frolicking in some magical (yet *extremely* muddy) fields at @shambalafest 🎪

i planned to share something while i was there, but signal + wifi were non-existent.. so i'm returning to that tiny move today by sharing my fave highlight from the festival - @graygraytaylor competing in the poetry slam 🤩

all of the slammers were of such high calibre - and the audience were fantastic! all of the poets and poetry across the festival were proper top notch 👌🏽

can you believe Gray got a round of perfect 10s and overall scored 149.5 out of a possible 150 points?!! 🤯

MASSIVE congratulations to the slambala champ 🏆 best bag a ticket for next year ASAP so you can see Gray's feature set at Shambala 2027 💫

Gray's been performing poetry for 19 months 😱 he's gigged all over, won multiple slams, and this is his THIRD title this year 🙌🏽 so in case you were wondering, he is ABSOLUTELY one to keep watching!!

i / we had the BEST time at Shambala - big love and thanks to Owen and @shambalafest for having us 🥰 already excited for next year!

🎙️ WHEN SPOKEN WORD ENTERS THE GREY AREA…

Spoken word artist @graygraytaylor walked into the Britain’s Next Superstar audition room with something bigger than a performance.

He tackled misogyny, men's relationships with women, accountability and men behaving badly, exploring the uncomfortable grey areas that can exist between perception, behaviour and responsibility.

No hiding from the subject. No easy conversation. Just words designed to make people listen, think and debate. 👀

And it certainly got the judges talking.

After hearing Gray's perspective, the panel put it to a democratic vote...

YES. YES. YES. 🔥

Gray Taylor is THROUGH! ⭐

Whether you agree with every word or see the subject differently, that's the power of spoken word. It starts conversations that don't necessarily end when the performance does.

So we're handing this one over to you...

👇 Where do YOU think the line is between outdated behaviour, misogyny and men simply getting it wrong?

Keep it respectful. Let's have the conversation.
