It is such an honor to have Great Escape Mustangs be a part of the Dance of the Wild film. Dance of the Wild explores humanity’s sacred bond with wild horses through nine horsewomen, revealing mustangs as spiritual teachers and vital partners, urging protection, remembrance, and collective healing amid pressures. Our Executive Director Brittany Ference was chosen as one of the nine horsewomen to be a voice for the wild horses.

Others help keep hay in the barn, support the care of sanctuary mustangs, and fund education that helps wild horses thrive in domestic life.
This is merchandise with a mission.

Wild horses don’t have a voice in the conversations that determine their future. But we do.

Every piece of Great Escape Mustangs merchandise represents something bigger than what you’re wearing. It represents advocacy, education, sanctuary, and a future where mustangs are understood and protected.
Wear your love for wild horses proudly.

Positive reinforcement or pressure and release?

The better question may be:

What does this horse need, what are we trying to communicate, and how can we use our tools ethically?

During the Five-Day Ethical Wild Horse Training Intensive, we explore both R+ and R− without turning the conversation into competing camps.

We examine timing, thresholds, reinforcement, clarity, choice, and the responsibility that comes with every training method.

Good horsemanship is not about blindly following a label.

It is about understanding what you are doing—and how it affects the horse.

The Wild Horse Partnership Program™ may be for you if:

• You feel unsure about what to do next
• You and your Mustang are struggling with trust
• You have tried several methods without lasting progress
• You need feedback on your timing and communication
• You want a personalized training plan
• You need accountability as you practice
• You care about the relationship as much as the result

You do not need to have everything figured out before joining.

That is why mentorship exists.

A lick and chew does not always mean the same thing.

Stillness is not always relaxation.

Compliance is not always understanding.

And a horse completing the task does not automatically mean the training was fair.

The Ethical Wild Horse Training Intensive will help you look beyond the surface and begin recognizing signs of stress, thought, processing, readiness, and nervous-system regulation.

When you learn to see more, you can make better choices for the horse in front of you.

Our five-day intensive is offered in winter and summer. by @great_escape_mustangs
