Honored to join The Queens Ball Gala for its 5th Anniversary, celebrating “A Legacy of Excellence: Honoring Our Roots, Expanding Our Reach.”

It was especially meaningful to celebrate the legacy and vision of Rev. Dr. Floyd H. Flake and Rev. Dr. Elaine M. Flake, whose decades of ministry and community development have helped create opportunities in housing, education, senior services, and beyond.

Legacy is not just what you leave behind. It is what you build that allows others to move forward.

Tonight we honored the roots, celebrated those continuing the work, and reminded ourselves that there is still more ground to cover and more people to reach. taken in Jericho Terrace by @greaterallendc

The Queens Ball Gala returns Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Jericho Terrace, and this year we’re celebrating our 5th Anniversary! 🎉

For five years, this gala has brought our community together in service of a legacy that started over 45 years ago built on opportunity, empowerment, and impact across Southeast Queens.

This year’s theme, “A Legacy of Excellence: Honoring Our Roots, Expanding Our Reach,” is a celebration of how far we’ve come and how much further we’re going — and this year, we’re honoring five incredible leaders who embody that legacy:

Senator Leroy Comrie @senatorcomrie
Queens Borough President Donovan Richards @queensbprichards
Assemblywoman Alicia Hyndman @assemblymemberalicialhyndman
Greater Jamaica Dev. Corp. President Justin Rodgers
@gjdcprez
Devore Dance Center Founder, Carolyn Devore @devoredance

One month from today, we come together for a night of celebration, connection, and purpose and we want YOU there.

What a night! ✨

Still overflowing with gratitude from last week’s Queens Ball Gala. Together, we raised over $100K (and counting!) to support housing, STEAM programs, and essential services for families across Queens.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, gave, and celebrated with purpose. If you weren’t able to give during the gala, or if you feel moved to continue supporting our work, contributions are still welcome and deeply appreciated (Link in Bio)

The work continues!
