UPDATE: While I was editing this video (on 8/25)News broke that line 5 was ruptured by a truck in #Wisconsin during their reroute construction leading to evacuations.
Now imagine something like this happening in the #GreatLakes.

Join us this Saturday August 15th 12-2pm! Amend is thrilled to host @greatlakescreatives for “Detroit Water Sovereignty Gathering”. This event will focus on local and regional watershed updates and water awareness. Enjoy water collected from Michigan springs, create crafts with locally grown lavender, and take home handmade water maps and zines, along with a conversation lead by Valerie Jean @valeriejean333 of People’s Water Board Coalition and Riverwise Magazine.
We’ll also have fresh organic produce to share and an abundant amount of flowers to harvest for bouquets! by @greatlakescreatives

Come hang and help us create a Fish For The Future Campaign Selfie Station, which will debut during our July 26th Kanoe The Kzoo event to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Enbridge’s Kalamazoo River Oil Spill.

Please bring a dish or a snack to pass.

Any creative supplies that we can incorporate into the fish & water themed selfie station and related props, signs and costumes are encouraged!

Free parking next to church on Trumbull side, and on MI and Trumbull.
