What an incredible night!

We got to Red Rocks to see FRIKO perform and discovered… it’s a NO PHONE SHOW. 😂 Phones locked into Yondr pouches.

I cannot explain what that does to a mom whose kid is about to walk onto the Red Rocks stage.

But I’ll tell you one thing- you make friends. A lot of them.

Shoutout to Bella and the two moms who were hostess, who came up with the idea and helped us grab a photo - and then texted me- of Friko during sound check on the TV, and Josie from Vancouver Island, who brought an actual digital camera (those were allowed in the show) and will be sending us photos.

So grateful to family came out to support, and we got to watch them on that stage- I mean, they had Jumbotrons!

Crazy memory— we saw Peter Gabriel on that same stage, same day- 14 years ago. Oh- and it didn’t rain. 🙏

It was spectacular. Such an incredible achievement, and I’m so grateful we were there for it.

The last couple of days…

From Napa and Sonoma, seeing more people I love—including Mrs. Dunn, a young 92, and her son Mark, who I’ve known since before I took my first breath.

Then north on Highway 101 through the Redwoods, with stops along the way that simply take your breath away.

Great wine, pizza in a Northern California rainstorm. 🍷🍕 @forkintheroadvineyard

Then at 5:30 this morning, the moon over the Pacific was just stunning.

What was supposed to be a long drive turned into an almost 10 hour one…but I’d do it again. The northwest is something special.

And somehow, without planning it, we drove right by the @friko4u van along the way. 🤘😎

Now here in Seattle. Another Friko show. More people we love.

Grateful for the miles, the beauty, the unexpected moments—and especially the people along the way.

A little shoutout to Johnny’s Red Hots on Route 59, just north of 111th!

Trying to feed a bunch of volunteers on Labor Day… two Jimmy John’s ran out of bread, Jersey Mike’s didn’t have enough staff—and then I remembered Johnny’s.

They could not have been nicer. Made everything we needed, boxed it all up and totally saved the day.

Last night with the Bitchin’ Band Moms, supporting The Digs Chicago- a nonprofit ceramics studio co-founded by Rebecca’s daughter Zoe, creating space and opportunities for Chicago artists.

Kind of love that our kids making music together brought us together…and now we get to show up and support all the other cool things their families are doing, too.

Turns out, the music has given us a lot more than music. 😎🤘Seven degrees of connectedness. 💙

It’s only 4:47pm, and somehow we’ve already packed a whole lot of fun into this day.

Today’s adventure: watching some seriously badass pilots take off for the Chicago Air & Water Show from the B. Coleman private hangar with Mika, Cliff Rome and Courtney Hall.

What an incredible experience. Thank you for the amazing hospitality and for letting me have a front-row seat to something this freaking cool. More pics to come.
