Most people assume local elections are decided by majority rule. In Irvine, that is rarely the case. 🗳️

When three or more candidates run for the same seat, leaders are often elected with just 30-40% support. (Put another way: more people vote AGAINST them…!)

Voting YES on Measure D brings ranked choice voting (RCV) to Irvine, guaranteeing that winning candidates earn a true majority.

What Ranked Choice Voting means for your ballot:

🗳️ Maximum Choice: Rank your favorite candidates without worrying about "spoiler" effects or throwing away your vote.

🤝 Healthier Politics: Candidates compete for second-choice votes, promoting civil discourse and policy solutions and deterring extreme positions.

✅ Proven Security: RCV is an established voting system and has been used safely in California and across the nation for over 20 years.

Over 50 local leaders and trusted community groups have already endorsed Measure D, including groups across the political spectrum.

👉 Hit the link in our bio or head to voterchoiceirvine.org for more info and to get involved. And remember: Measure D is located at the very very end of your ballot.

“Capitalism, a system that encourages continuous growth and consumption, is a major cause of this issue, (rising sea levels) according to scholars like Andreas Malm and John Urry. Even though capitalism is one of the major causes of economic growth that improved the general quality of life, it’s responsible for excessive consumption, resource exploitation, and increased greenhouse gas emissions, which reverse capitalism’s positive effects. Therefore, significant societal changes are needed to address climate change than just technological solutions.” Article by Aqeel Alharbi by @greenpartyoc

Californians' rent is 36% higher than the national average pushing those near poverty and on fixed incomes out of their homes.

Residences newer than 15 years and are exempt from the CA Tenant Protection Act and rent controls!

GREENS KNOW how to fix that, remove rent control exemptions, build social housing AND implement a vacancy tax!

CA Greens say NO on Prop 41 and NO on Prop 42!

Both prop 41 and 42 are specifically designed to nullify proposition 40 (Billionaires wealth tax). are funded by 7 billionaires who have already spent nearly $200 million in attack ads to mislead voters.

If prop 40 passes, it can still be nullified IF either prop 41 or prop 42 also pass with just one more vote than prop 40.
