🤝 Strong roots. Stronger community. After a devastating storm swept through David Caldwell Historic Park in 2000, our community came together to restore what had been lost. In 2001, more than 200 volunteers joined Greensboro Beautiful and Greensboro Parks & Recreation to replant the park—one tree, one shovel, and one act of kindness at a time. What a night! Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for Greensboro Beautiful’s End of Summer Soirée at Gateway Gardens. We gathered under the gardens to celebrate summer, community, and the legacy of beautifying Greensboro. From the music and cocktails to the wine pull, raffle, silent auction, and plenty of garden mingling, it was an evening filled with so many of the people who make Greensboro Beautiful possible. This year was especially meaningful as we celebrated 1968 — the year Greensboro Beautiful began — and nearly six decades of bringing people together to make our city greener, cleaner, and more beautiful. A special thank you to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, vendors, board members, and everyone who helped make the evening happen. And thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated with us. We’re already looking forward to what’s next.
