THE COMMUNITY PARK CAFF SERVING MEALS FOR AS LITTLE AS £1 🌳

Starting life off as a bright yellow coffee trike back in 2021, @groundedmcr is now a permanent feature in the Levenshulme community.

The concept - launched by couple, Nat and Kerry - provides a cafe space for everyone to enjoy, alongside supporting vulnerable adults and neighbouring schools. 🫶

What makes this spot so special is their sheer commitment to sustainability; working closely with @faresharegm, who deliver surplus food that would’ve otherwise gone to waste, they can keep their prices low whilst still creating some delicious scran.

Their ‘Fareshare Fridays’ are hosted each week, dedicating that morning’s delivery to one specific dish, and serving them all up for just £1.

Hey up!
We humbly ask for your help to raise funds for a SEN DEN and quiet zone round the back of t'cafe in Cringle.

There's lots of people in Cringle Park (kids and adults alike) who really need a time out, a brew and a bit of darkness or something to occupy their hands and minds. We are keen to offer both a quiet place to chill and an area for busy minds - a space dedicated to making every Park trip that little bit easier to navigate.

We will keep fundraising til we reach our target - and our first big challenge is the @ajbellstadiumevents Manchester 10Km on 31st May. There are quite a few of us running and prob none more terrified than @laurenfehoward and I (Nat) who are so far out of our comfort zones, we are possibly on the moon. 😬🙃

Massive thanks to @theskillmill who've helped us paint the pergola and clear up after the recent vandalism. A brilliant social enterprise, who offer employment opportunities for young ex offenders.

So kids, if you're planning to climb on the roof tonight (as you have done for the last 5 nights), then you will get black greasy paint on you and it doesn't come off. So please don't climb up, thanks! by @groundedmcr

Hi if anyone sees these children on the roof or causing issues at the cafe - one red headed child with curtains, one small lad who usually wears a Moncler jacket, one called Amir and one called Harry plus their fun lil mates. Please report to 101 online.

This week we will be putting anti vandal paint on the roof and securing the cctv wires. If anyone wants to help with ideas or actually physical help to secure the area, that would be much appreciated.

We've made banana carrot doggy bday cake with potato icing and puppacinos. FREE for your pups!

We are going to attempt to play Paws the Parcel and Musical Sits but that may not go so well!

Last night at around 8.45pm - four boys decided to slash our pergola sheeting, rip down our new fairy lights and trash the bin store.

These boys are around 13-15 years old so we won't be posting CCTV of them but their mindless violence has been reported to all the local schools and police.

This is the fourth incident in as many weeks, that we have reported.

Today, I (Nat) feel a bit like giving up - we work hard to provide something nice for the community and then to sit and watch our CcTV back is demoralising and draining.

We don't expect there to be zero issues, and life throws all sorts of curveballs, but mindless violence for zero reason is just really sad.
