Jozi, you’ve got our attention 👀

After a recent shoot up north, we’ve got a few things to say about Johannesburg and its seriously underrated production potential!

Big spaces, hungry crews, lekker people and a whole lot of opportunity 🌟

Cape Town, we still love you. But Joburg? We’re looking at you a little differently these days. Is it time the international production industry did too? We think so.

More on this coming to the Groundglass blog next week! by @groundglass_za

Surfing Improves Lives.

BTS from the set of an incredible shoot with the @groundglass_za team for our @globebrand x Mami Wata surfskates.

The surfskates recognise the interconnectedness between surfing and skating, and how both have the power to improve lives.

The proceeds for the surfskates will be used to raise funds for two brilliant organisations in Cape Town, @ziyaad_skate_school_ and @wavesforchange

More to come. taken in Cape Town, South Africa by @groundglass_za

Cannes do ❤️ fleeting but fulfilling - a quick summary of the week that was on the French Riviera. There are definitely some big shifts and bold moves happening in the production world, and big thanks to @apalondon @theaicp and @europeanproducers for giving us the space to meet and talk collectively. And @ingridbragemann and @tantorfilms for the beautiful venue. Also interesting to note the vastly different conversations and topics being addressed on the Croisette and in the Palais as opposed amongst film producers and directors up in the hills. Thanks to @youngdirectoraward for always flying that flag so high, another year of exceptional young talent showing us what they’re made of. And as for the rest it was more celebrating of 25 years of Groundglass 😍 So good to hang out and spend time with all you winners 🥂 Cheers till next year by @groundglass_za

Here’s to more of the same for many years to come 🥂❤️ taken in District Six by @groundglass_za
